It was a pitch black darkness in the sky, not a single star or hint of light from the moon. My wings were soar and soaking wet from the rain. It wasn't like this in Hell, it was always warm and the sky was black with red tinting and at night it was a pitch black darkness that made it hard for even a demon to see. My claws were numb as well from the cold water that fell from the sky. It was complete silence other than the fast and ferocious wingbeats that echoed through the night. We kept this up for about 30 minutes now and it wasn't the rain that was making us fly this fast it was what was following us.
Back at the campgrounds we were sitting by the fire Lucifer had started, thats when a pure white owl perched on a tree close to us and watched us. Just at a glance you could tell this was an angel, you could see it in its eyes. Obviously the angels had realized we figured out their disguise and there was more than what we had thought. The only way out was to fly up and move as fast as possible. That is how we ended up in this mess.

I was broken out of my thoughts when a clash of thunder broke out. I missed a wing beat but quickly steadied myself. "CAVE, SHELTER DOWN THERE!!" Yelled Volac. I looked over to where she pointed and there it was a small cave with just enough room for the 5 of us. We glided down and landed right inside and Lucifer once again made a fire for us. "We should take turns keeping watch just in case those damn angels saw us." Barbatos said with a grunt. "I will take first watch!" I quickly said. I really wasn't all that tired after all, I mean I was usually like that considering I'm a morte (death) demon and I was in the war staying up one night was nothing. I've gone through weeks even months without rest during that god awful war.

The others curled up together in the back of the cave, and I took my place at the entrance. I sat down and let my tail curl around my legs. 'What was that!?' I started to think about the creature I just saw. It scurried away quickly but I was able to catch a glimpse of it. The creature had black fur around its eyes and rings around its tail, it was covered in dark grey fur with what looked like a light gray ,almost white, snout. It didn't seem like a threat to me since it scurried away as soon as it looked at me. 'The creatures here are nothing compared to the ones in Hell.' I started thinking about the creatures here and the ones in Hell. Here the creatures are much smaller and seem to be terrified of us, while the ones we have are massive and aren't afraid of you at all. They see a hint of movement and they will lunge at you full force. I didn't know any of the things here but in Hell there were hellhounds, chimaeras, manticore, and dragons. If you could train one of these things nobody will ever want to mess with you.

I let my wings droop to my sides and my tail was no longer tight around my legs. The night went on and nothing unusual happened, so I waited until dawn.

Author's Note: This is my very first time publishing a story. Im usually really bad at writing but Im really trying for this also the characters names in this are the names of actuall demons, I just gender swaped a few of them. Anyways more chapters will come out shortly so please enjoy!
