drawing and painting class

so I take a drawing class and a painting class during school and it's pretty awesome.

in drawing, I've drawn a horse ( he wanted us to draw anything so he could figure out our skill level ), some shapes and objects for developing shading, depth, reflection and realism skills, and a dog jumping into water for a project where we had to combine all the elements that we've learned into one drawing.

I don't have a picture of the horse because I didn't have time to before I turned it in. however, I took one of the dog before I turned it in today. it's a bad angle, but I had to take it in a hurry.

also, I don't mean to brag, but I only used a reference on the head so I could get an idea of what it's shaped like.

in painting, I've done practice paintings with watercolor. he's having us start out with watercolor since it's much harder than acrylic.

anywho, he's having us paint whatever we want for our next project. I'm painting a blue jay singing birdsong with some notes coming out or whatever. it's hard to explain. I may also put as a quote "I'll find where I belong, and I'll find it in a song." which is, of course, a hunter hayes lyric/quote.

I took that picture yesterday. today I started with the foreground and such.

I almost forgot. for painting, we had to paint a fruit and a 3D object realistically. so I did a watermelon and a prism or whatever it's called

oh yeah, I guess this counts as art. but my pastor's wife just gave birth to their first baby two days ago! so I made them a blanket for their baby.
