What Is Anime?

I've been taken on so many adventures and have met some of the most amazing souls. I have cried my eyes out. I have laughed the hardest I have ever dared. I have sat at the edge of my seat teeth clenched and eyes wide. I have blushed, screamed, yelled, gasped, jumped, and cheered.

Stories effect us as humans because we can relate to them. They touch us even though they are fictional. Over the years I have watched so many tv shows and movies. Some have touched me more than others. But upon starting up my first anime last summer, my expectations for tv shows have skyrocketed.

Anime to me is art. The Japanese culture have some serious leverage on American tv shows when it comes to their plot and characters aswell as voice actors. Anime plots can be extremely out there and creative, yet they draw you in. There is a magic to it. The art can be so stunning. The characters are memorable. I have never been touched by so many shows in just one genre and I think many anime fans would agree. There is a certain feeling that comes with watching an anime especially when it is subbed. Subbed meaning it has Japanese audio and english subtitles.

I can't quite explain it, but Anime is my beautiful addiction and passion. In this book I will be going through some of the worst and best animes. I will mainly be featuring good ones though as I haven't watched many bad ones.

How can you interact with this? Well first off I am always looking for a good anime so feel free to share some of your favorite animes. If I watch one that is suggested, I will be sure to give you a shout out.

I also want discussions! I will ask questions and hope to see your theories and ideas in the comments. Until then fellow Otakus.

Dedicated to @summerssolitude for the amazing cover!
