You never know what you have until its gone
Until the world strips you of all you love
Takes the woman who loves you dear
And cannot stand a moment youre not near
But one day you will drive her to death
For pounding her with words that steal her breath
And whens shes dead and gone away
You will sulk and say one day
You miss her kind and loving smile
The laugh that made your life worth while
that kiss that meant that its alright
The hugs that were always too tight
The warm feel of the tan tight skin
That always welcomed you on in
The way her hair shinned in the light
The way sometimes she cried at night
How you always took her for granite
And not saw what she seen in you
Because you were scared you blmaed her
For things she did not do
So why let her slip away
When you could fix it in a day
Just love her like she is new
And not a worn out, chewn up shoe
She wants to be your faithful wife
The one who holds you when you cry at night
The one that makes you laugh, through your tears
The one who whispers into your ear
The one who had all the great plans
Who saved the day when you was banned
Who made good grades to help you out
So you could buy a real nice house
Who wanted your kids, and still does
The girl who loves you, and looks above
All your flaws and all your mistakes
Who takes the rough times and the pain
But one can only take so much
Before the heart and chest just bust
They cannot take the pain no more
They have to go and hit the floor
But she will die if not with you
Because everything is about you two
And she needs your love to get along
Or will surly go and crumble.
So keep your words
And your heart clear
so she can love you forever
and not die in fear
