'Listen closely, for what I'm about to tell you can never be repeated. It's a story of a beauty, so beautiful she was far beyond compare. Her form was of an hour glass. Hair a light blond almost whiteish and the perfect shaded skin tone.
Her name was Marie, she was a lady of the court. A charming girl who was murdered on August 3rd, 1882. Marie was only 23 years old and the person to have killed her... Was said to have been her friend.
Who did it out of jealousy, hatred and envy. The women in question was named Elizabeth. She had a high rank in the court, was friends with the current queen, and she was married to a Duke. The woman had everything Marie wanted.'

~Marie age 8~

"Marie slow down not everyone can run as fast as you!"  Jasmine, Marie's older sister, called. They were in a race to the weeping willow that rested by the pond outside their house.
Her sister tripped and skimmed her knee. However she refused to cry in front of Marie. She hated when her sister would have to worry while she's so young.

''My dearest sister, how great you were to me.'

"MARIE! DON'T PET THAT DOG!" Ryan, Marie's body guard, yelled as she went to pet a stray dog. Confused she stepped back "Why?  It's just a pup." The 17 year old boy sighed "it may be a pup... But it could be a dangerous pup."
He grabbed Marie's hand and led her away. He is sworn to protect her and he's not letting a dog get in the way of that. Marie looked up at him " Sean... Just because you protect me doesn't mean you can pull me around like I'm little... " She huffed and pulled her arm away.

'I'd be lying to say you weren't my first crush, but you were paid to protect me...not love me.'

"She...She's alive...YOUR LYING!" Marie cried as she ran to her mothers sleeping courters. There on the bed rest her dead mothers body. Taken by a sickness no one saw coming.
Ryan and Jasmine ran to her sides comforting the girl they knew and loved. Both wishing she didn't have to know. A girl sweet as she could be, didn't deserve this.

'When you died mom, I couldn't stop crying. That night Sean, Jasmine and I stayed up and read books.'

~Marie age 20~

A girl, with light brown hair wearing a ballroom dress, sat crying on the forest ground. She was broken hearted and couldn't stop weeping. Slowly, Marie proceeded to the female.
She didn't know the girl, but she was concerned about her and why she was sad. By time she was next to the girl she stopped crying. Marie set her hand on the girls shoulder and spoke "Are... are you okay? "
The girl looked up and laughed a sorrowful laugh. Letting Marie sit, the girl spoke "yeah... It's just... You think you finally found the right guy, but he tells you he's in love with the girl he protects. "

'When we first met Elizabeth... I felt sorry for you. I wanted to hug you the rest of the day, but this week you found out something I didn't know... You where in love with Sean... And he lived to protect and love me.'

Marie was sleeping when a knock was heard at her door. Slowly, she made way to open the door. And right before her was Elizabeth with a syringe.
Marie stepped back and Elizabeth stepped forward. It was like a dance competition with only one out come. Marie's night gown snagged on her dresser. Leaving a perfect opportunity to jab her with the syringe... Killing her for good.

'Finally Marie, your out of my hair and Ryan's all mine. The queen won't suspect me at all... You know Sean's special...he can't die... And after a very long time he can bring someone back to life. Now all I need to do is make him fall in love with me.'

~That night when Sean finds her~

Her soulless blue eyes sparkle in the moonlight, with blood dripping from her pale lips. I watched in horror as her body lay weak in my grasp. I had loved and cherished this woman my whole life.
My eyes where filled with a warm liquid once the word left her mouth. A word I never wanted her to say. The one word that indicated that she was departing from this world for good.
This will be the first time and, hopefully not the last time, I'll hold her close and feel her flesh against mine. I could bring her back... Though, it will be a while before I could and any memory of ours would disappear with the "sickness" that took hold of her. She'll be free from any harm.
I'll remember her though... I'll remember it all. Every smile, every hug, every look and of course every and any chance that she could have been mine. Gone, forever. She's never coming back to me. I'll do it though, to see her smile, hear her laugh and maybe she'll even look my way.
