I have been waiting for my Hogwarts letter since as long as I could remember. I had heard all about how amazing it is from my father Newt Scamander. His eyes would light up talking about all the fantastic beasts there. When I received the letter, my dad nearly cried and ran out of the house to buy me my very own owl. My mom, Porpentina, beamed and twirled me around in circles.

"Elladora are you ready to go to Hogwarts? Maybe you will be in Hufflepuff like your dad!"

I ran outside to tell my best fried, Emmeline Shacklebolt, that I had gotten mine. She had gotten hers too so we screamed and jumped around.

"I can't wait to go to Hogwarts!" I screamed running back into my house.

*5 Years Later

I woke to the familiar smell of french toast and coffee that only happened on September 1st. My mom and dad were talking in faint voices about how excited they were for my fifth year. I got dressed and threw my Gryffindor scarf around my neck. I ran downstairs and hugged my dad, thanking him for the amazing breakfast.

"Are you excited for another year? I wish I could go again but I am so glad you get to experience it yourself." My dad said wrapping his arm around me while I shoved the french toast in my mouth.

"I wish you could have gone to Ilvermorny. You would have definitely been a Wampus!" My mom and dad could not agree on which school I would go to until I finally was old enough to make a decision.

It was almost time to leave so I ran upstairs and grabbed my elf owl, Gylfie, and suitcase. I kissed both my parents on the cheek and ran outside to meet Emmeline. She was sitting on her suitcase talking to her older brother, Oliver.

"Ella!" She cheered as I hurried over to talk to them.

My heart raced as I saw her brother look at me. I had a crush on him for the longest time because of his blond hair and dreamy eyes. He never gave me the time of day but it never stopped my mind from imagining our future together. Plus the other guys in Gryffindor could not be compared to his amazing looks.

"Hey guys, how's it going? Are you excited?"

"I am excited to be in my last year. Huh, I thought you would've been a Ravenclaw because you love school so much. Huh, guess the hat was finally wrong." Oliver said.

"No! She is totally a Gryfiindor! She is brave and strong and will do anything for the people she loves. Just you wait, one day she will be a famous wizard!" Emmeline replied.

"We should probably go. Don't want to miss the train!" I said trying to hide the faint flush of my cheeks.

Awhile later we made it onto the train and Oliver parted ways to meet up with his friends. I ran to the end of the train and found a place for Emmeline and me to sit. I sat down and pulled out my dad's book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It was my favorite book and not because my dad wrote it. Ever since I was little, I wanted to be a Magizoologist. One of my favorite things was to go inside my dad's suitcase and see all of his magical creatures. I loved the mooncalves with their large eyes and shy personalities.

"Ella, did you hear me?" Emmeline questioned.

"Oh sorry I was reading. What did you say?"

"I asked if you minded if Charlie Witby here could join us. He is a Ravenclaw but has no seat so is that ok?" She pointed at a boy who had dark messy brown hair and bright blue eyes that were hidden behind his glasses.

"Sure that is fine." I went back to reading, trying not to concentrate on the boy who sat next to me.

I rubbed my thumb against the pages subconsciously. The middle of the pages were worn from the number of times that I have read the book and done the same thing. I flipped the pages trying to find something new but I knew everything that happened in the book.

"What book are you reading?" Charlie leaned to see the cover of the book.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander." I dragged my finger along his name already feeling homesick.

"I love that book! Newt is a living legend! I have wanted to meet him ever since I was little."

"He's one of the nicest people in the world. He deserves so much." I smiled shyly staring at the ground.

"Wait, have you met him?" He widened his eyes leaning in slightly.

"I am Elladora Scamander so I would hope that I would've met my dad by now." I met his gaze smiling big.

"No way. You're joking right?"

I shook my head still smiling. I was insanely proud of my dad and it was nice that someone else appreciated him as well. The rest of the ride to Hogwarts consisted of a long and deep conversation about our favorite parts of the book and what life was like living with Newt Scamander.
