Why havnt I met mine yet?

We wear our souls on our bodies, in lockets with a colored gem, marks gem is red, jacks gem is green, pewds gem is blue, crys gem is orange, amys gem is white, and signes gem is yellow
When we lose our lockets, we become weak and die, the only way to be saved is to be kissed by your soulmate, when you and your soulmate kiss, your souls bond together and you are free from your lockets
Fighting with your soulmate can tear and even break your bonded souls, which can cause heart break and make you go into emotional lockdown

I have always been told "Dont lose your soul" witch, itself sounds pretty dumb right? Well in this world we hold our souls in lockets, and Ive only lost mine once! Which was in my pocket so tecknicly it wasnt lost

First day of College

On my first day of college i met up with my friends, syd, emmi,and jenkins. Emmi  had already met her soulmate. Emmi had gray neko ears and tail, she has long blonde hair and blue eyes with glasses, today she wore a cat sqeater that said 'Nya!'. Jenkins, her soulmate, had blonde hair and green eyes, he has grey neko ears and tail also, he wore short sleeves and shorts. Syd playfully punched my arm, she had brown hair with blonde bangs (whicj was a result from her purple hair dye fading) she wore ripped jeans and a dark gray shirt "Single squade assemble!" she said chuckling, one of her eyes was green, the other was her normal brown
"You met your soulmate?" i said sighing that all my friends met theirs before me "Its been so long why havnt I?"
Syd smiled "Dont worry Bro! Youll meet yours soon!" she chuckled. Emmi hugged jenkins and they walked off
"But what if I dont? What if I never meet my soulmate because I mess something up"
Syd frowned "Its called a soulmate jack! Which means youre destinded to be together"
Red caught the corner of my eye, a male with bright red hair and a red flannel caught my eye, he saw me looking at him and waved, I awkwardly waved back then looked away
"Ooo maube thats your soulmate, you wont know till you" she made a kissy face "Mwa mwa mwa!" she laughed
I punched her arm "Hey not funny"
