"Come on Leo!" A voice yelled, making the black haired boy turn around and look at the doorway of the bedroom. The black haired boy, also known as Leo, looked up at the papers that were tacked to a board above his desk that he sitting in. Many poems were scribbled on the paper, describing many things. Leo sighed and then put up a bright smile, walking towards the doorway and out of his room.
He went down a short hallway which had many pictures hanging up. Pictures of a family of parents with two boys, each smiling happily. But as he went down farther the mother had disappeared from the beautiful pictures, causing them to be more gloomy. There was a sadness in the father's eyes, the young raven haired boy's smile was forced. Next to the younger boy was the older brother, who wasn't smiling.
Leo decided not to dwell on spilled, spoiled milk and walked down the stairs, being greeted by his friend, Elias. In front of him, holding the door open blankly was Leo's brother. The boy's white, tussled hair bobbed when he looked up and saw his friend on the stairs, staring at him.
"Leo!" Elias ran and hugged Leo, who smiled and patted Elias. Elias and Leo were the same age, 16, yet Elias was always more childish than his friend. The white haired boy pulled away and looked at Leo. "Just got out of bed?" Asked Elias as he eyed Leo's race car pj's.
A blush appeared on Leo's face and he put his arm on his shoulder, his eyes closing as he smiled. "I guess so," Leo responded, letting out a little laugh.
"Well anyways-." Elias pulled Leo onto the stairs and they both sat down. This action didn't surprise Leo, he was use to Elias's sudden movements. "There's a carnival in town." Elias began to go on with his sentence. This made Elias perk up. Elias quite loved carnivals. "It's on today, we should go, pleasssse!" Elias didn't give Leo time to respond before begging.
Leo laughed, patting Elias's head. "You know I'm going, you don't have to beg." Leo retracted his hand and looked at Elias, who nodded happily.
"Ok, meet me outside this house at 12:00!," Elias sprang up and ran outside the door. Leo looked at the clock, seeing it was 11:00. He really wants to go, Leo thought as he gazed at the white clock. That's Elias for you. Leo chuckled to himself, earning a glare from his brother.
"Stop being happy," snapped Leo's brother as he walked away. Leo ignored his brother's rude actions and ran up the carpeted stairs to get dressed.
When Leo entered his room he looked around. White walls greeted him, some of the paint peeling off. On the right side of the room was his black desk, and above it many papers pinned to a tack board. Leaning on the desk was a violin case. Leo always had a passion for the violin and loved to play, even sometimes going to the park to share his lovely melodies to the public. Leo looked away from the violin to the left side of the room, which had nothing but a closet and mirror. Towards the back end of the room was his bed, which above it was a window that let light through, the golden rays decorating his black bed.
Leo walked over to the closet, his bare feet sinking into the gray carpet, and he opened it. Leo looked over the clothes before deciding on a plain white t-shirt with jeans. When he was finished changing he exited his room and entered the bathroom, which was right next to his room. Once Leo was finished doing all the stuff boys do in the bathroom (shrug) he checked his watch, seeing it was almost time to meet Elias.
He walked out of the bathroom and down the stairs, exiting the house. Leo looked around the neighborhood and spotted Elias jogging towards him. Elias was wearing jeans and a black long sleeved shirt.
"You're gonna get hot in that," scoffed Leo as Elias got near. Elias's purple eyes twinkled at that.
"I don't care.... let's go!" Elias began to walk off, making Leo sigh as he pushed away the worry for his friend. Leo walked besides Elias, who chattered away about many things.
"Hey Elias, its you." Leo pointed to a blue jay, which made Elias giggle. Elias stopped giggling once they entered some woods, it was only a couple steps before they came to a clearing. In the large clearing was a big carnival, which made Elias hop up and down in excitement. The carnival had to be big, as there were so many people in this area.
People were already walking towards he carival from many areas of the circle. Screaming was heard from the rides and tasty smells wafted from the area. Elias was already running towards it, but a single bought crossed Leo's mind.
Spoiled milk.
