I crouched on top of a building inside the compound, across from the warehouse. My black zip-up collared jacket concealed the black t-shirt I had underneath. Slim black cargo pants were tucked in messily into black combat boots. This, was night gear.

From this viewpoint, I could see men shuffling back and forth taking closed wooden crates from the idle semi truck. So this is The Mafia, I thought. The gang I was referring to, called themselves The Mafia even though they had nothing to do with the or any mafia whatsoever.

The Mafia had been stealing money through identity theft.

Apparently, this "Mafia" pickpocketed and scanned peoples ID, credit or debit cards, then gave them back, but held all the information on a USB. They were planning on using the information and money for who knows. A big shipment of drugs?

I wondered why the FBI or any of the Special Forces didn't pick up on their activities. After all, this Mafia was America's number one concern. Then it struck me. They were probably planning a fully thought out way to get these men. Too bad I'm here first.

I'm only here, because they stole my mother's identity. There was no way someone could steal mine. I use cash.

I checked my Suunto Core watch.

3:27:19 AM.

My foster mom made her nightly checkups at 3:40 AM. The same time foster dad's alarm rang for work.

Enough time wasted. I leapt off the roof into the cool, night air.
