I walked through the kitchen trying to avoid the broken glass on the floor. My parents had another fight last night. Oh well, today will be different. That's basically my catch phrase, 'today will be different'. It's the last day of school and I am determined to ignore life's problems.
My mom's name is Sarah Jaxon and my dad's name is Stephen Renay. They're both awful parents. My dad is on every drug out there and my mom drinks herself to sleep every night. Anyways, my name is Aria Renay.
I've got a few good friends. I'm not popular but I've got some friends. My best friends name is Cassie. She's walking to school with me today like every day. I saw her waiting quietly outside. She never knocked, just stood there. The wind blew her long brown hair into her face. She was beautiful of course. But I never had the guts to tell her how I felt.
"Hey." I said handing her a redbull and opening one of my own.
"Didn't get much sleep last night?" She asked knowingly. She knew what went on in my house, we didn't talk about it much.
"I'm fine."
"I know." she said quietly. "You're always fine." I quickly changed the topic before things got too awkward.
"You ready for summer? I've got some stuff planned." we both giggled.
"I just can't wait to get out of that hellwhole."
"Me neither." I laughed.
