Rough Waves

Rough waves,
Pale face,
No anchor to help keep her centered,
The wind picks up and its all blurry from there,
A wave here and a wave there,

Then she's underwater,
Drowning,
And even though she can't swim she tries,
She's not ready to die,
But with a hole in her anchorless heart,
And no one to throw a lifesaver out,
how is she going to save herself.

She chooses the only other way, She prays,
She asks god to calm the ocean if only for a moment,
She just needs to make it to shore,

Then he can do what he intends to with the ocean,
But she needs his help to save herself right now...
