The rush of the cold wind scrapes against my skin as I sprint for my life in nothing but darkness. I had no clue why I was running, nor where I was. All I knew was that I had to keep running, as if my life depended on it. The more I run the more I lose my mind. I cant see anything, my legs are numb, and my fear takes over my mind. Running on a hidden path, with no destination and no knowledge of why I was running. If for a moment, I try to think and remember what was happening, the constant fear stabs at my mind. For then, I am only allowed to think about the next hurridly step I take. As much as I wanted to keep running, my legs gave out, and the rush of fear was drowning me.
Sitting on the ground, I somehow knew my fate had came up to me and was about to wish me death. The silence overwhelmed me as for my desperate breaths were the only things heard. Its hard to describe this feeling that elluminates the air. The feeling is the most extreme I've felt in my life. This feeling is as if im all alone, but someone is watching, or when its completely silent when there is sound. Its like my first time experiencing this but I have been down this path before. My thoughts are consuming me one by one until they are broken by a distorted sound. I snap my head around and see the most horrendus thing. If I could describe it, I would, but there are no words for what I now see. Terrified, I open my mouth to scream, but as if something was clogging my throat, I could not find my voice. So, I sit there teriffied, trembeling, mouth gaped open, and eyes very wide consumed with fear.
The thing moved closer to me in the most slow, tauntingly, demonic way. For I was too frozen in fear to move, as the thing got closer every second. As I somewhat came back to reality, I try to move, but my body wouldnt allow me to. The stinging, sad tears slowly develop in my eyes as I knew what was coming to me. No matter how much I wanted to close my eyes or look away, my eyes would just stay glued on the thing. The closer it came to me, the faster my heart would be. The thing was getting so close my mind went blank and thats the most terrifying thing about this. It took a few more steps towards me and that was enough for the thing to be inches away from my face. Only then was I able to quickly close my eyes and prepare for the worst.
I feel nothing. No fear, sadness, or distress. It's like it just washed away in one second. It was dark, but I could hear muffled sounds. Slowly and weakly I open my eyes, just enough to see two blurred figures hovering over me. I could somewhat feel something comforting and warm on my shoulders and one of my arms. It sounded like people's voices, but I could not make out what they were saying. Too weak, I close my eyes, slowly not being able to keep them open any longer.
My body moved my mind to become concious once again. The first thing upon coming to my senses was the astonishing pain troughout my body. The pain made me open my eyes so I could witnessed what had happened to me. There was a bright light overhead that made me squint at first, but then made me see all that was around me. I was laying in a bed, under white sheets and in a room that looked similar to a hospital. Slowly I move my head to the side to see a man on the other side of the room, sitting in their desk. A screw went through his sliver hair and head, which seemed quite odd. As I was staring at him, the man turned around and slightly smiled. He stood up from his chair and walked to the side of my bed.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Stein. Dont be frightened I'm here to help you." The guy who introduced himself as Stein declared. Not knowing what to do or say I just nod slowly. He has a Clipboard in hand and a pen in his other. Stein stares at me awkwardly for a few seconds before writing away on his clipboard. To fill the awkwardness, I slowly and rasplily ask, "Where am I?". Stein glances at me before continuing his writing.
" Well, you are at the school DWMA." Stein says monotonly. I cough from my dry throat and furrow my eyebrows.
"DWMA?" I ask out of confusion. Stein looks at me and stares me in the eyes, asking, "You dont know? DWMA, Death Weapon Meister Academy."
"I'm at a school?" I ask trying to put the pieces together. Stein sighs and looks back at whatever he was writing. I take another look around the room. Now that I think of it, this room does look different from a normal hospital room. That explains the whole school part. I look back over at Dr. Stein who just stopped writting on the cliboard.
"Now, may I ask for your name and age?" Steins asks, but more in the tone of demanding. I nod and tell him," My names (Y/N) and my age is (Y/A)". Stein nods, listening. "And where are you from?" He adds.
"Im from...." I had to stop and think about it. A matter in fact, I have no clue where I am from. I try responding again, " I.....". Stein nods underestanding that I have no utter clue where I came from.
"Okay, then do you know how you ended up passed out and beaten in the underground of the school while people were attacking the school?" Stein asks making his questions more specific. Confused I answered his question with another one, saying, "I was already here? I thought I was..." I stop in my tracks remembering the only memory of mine. The last thing I remember is running and getting attacked by a creature, more like a monster. I fell dead silent, not wanting to rememer the horrific event that had happened.
"You thought you where what?" Stein asks wanting to know more. I look up at him and say, " The only thing I remember is running away from this creature.. or.. it was more like a monster. Then it attacked me." I tell him trulfully, for he is the only person I met and the only person who is here, in front of me. Stein nods and begins to write away on his clipboard again. He keeps writing and says, "That would make sense."
"What makes sense?" I ask curiously. When hes done writing, he looks at me and smiles before walking back to his desk. He sets down his clipboard and asks, "Have you heard of black blood?" I shake my head and reply awkwardly, "No..."
"Well, black blood is running through your veins kid." Stein explains and looks at me from his desk. I look down at my hand. Is this normal? I have so many questions, but before I could ask any Stein says, " I need to go get someone. It would be in your best intrest to stay where you are." After that, he just walks out of the room, shutting the door behind him. I sit up, slowly and wincing in pain. The pain is almost unbearable, so I lift up my shirt a little bit, to see what was causing all the pain. There was a bandage wrapped around my waist, which was stopping me to see. I pull my shirt back down and sigh.
