I sighed as I looked nervously around my new school. I went to the new school that was all for the fine and preforming arts.. hoping to make some new friends. I was wearing worn out black jeans, converse shoes, a tight fitting dark grey shirt and a rainbow tail clipped to my jeans. My dirty blonde hair was pulled back into a high pony tail, making my eyes seem to bug out even more. I never thought of myself as pretty. I had hazel eyes, dirty blonde hair that went slightly past my shoulders, a slightly round face and mildly chubby, but curvy body. My nose was pretty small and made my eyes stand out. My lips weren't that full either. I glanced around and pulled out a piece of paper which I scibbled my main classes on.

"Oh great, art!" I thought happily and sped up my walking so I could get a good seat. I rounded a corner and walked into the classroom. Instantly my eyes went to a small girl, around my age. Her hair was halfway down her back, brown and her eyes were a gorgeous brown to match. She glanced at me before looking at the girl next to her.

"Julie... do you... see that girl?"  She spoke softly
Julie looked up at me, her eyes were brown, but not as pretty as the other girls. Her hair was a dark brown that went far down her back and she was smaller than her friend with small wire glasses then were on the bridge of her nose.

"What about her, Misty?"

Misty...
What a gorgeous name. I licked my lips before looking to the floor and rushing to a seat, far from her. I've liked females before but I've never quite felt my heart stutter like that. I sighed and looked towards my teacher who was openly looking throughout the classroom.

Class passed quickly and so did the rest of the day. Misty and I didn't talk, as I hoped we would but I shrugged that off and stalked off to the buses.
As I found my seat, the dark thoughts came, almost as quickly as the pale grey clouds that were now dotting the sky.

  *3hours later, at home*

I stared down at my notebook which seemed to fade in and out as tears, which came nearly everynight stung my eyes. I stared longingly at a photo of my best friend, Kat. I moved not too long ago to go to the new school, which meant leaving a town or so away from hers. It wasnt much but it certainly still upset me. I picked up my phone and sent a quick message to her.

"Loving the new school!! Miss you ):"

I picked up my notebook and scribbled down the girls name "Misty"
Maybe we'll become friends... I sure hope so. I looked at my clock.
6:30PM. I cocked my head to the side and gave up trying to figure out something fun to do. I flopped on my bed and stared at the roof, wishing I was a star... wishing I brought light to someones world. A few thoughts crosses my mind and I closed my eyes tightly. If depression is water, then my water will soon be a lake. Sucky thing is, I've never been the best swimmer. With a frown on my lips and my mind full of thoughts, I fell asleep.
