No, no, no don't you dare say that!" I begged, squeezing his hand as he lay in the hospital bed.
"Lan.. Please listen... If I d-die, don't spen... The... Rest of your life- doing thi..things for me". He said through clearly hitchy breaths.
"Your not going to die baby, you just gotta keep fighting!" I reassured, tears forming in my eyes as they threatened to slip.
My boyfriend let out a heavy sigh as he let go of my hand. He rested them at either side of him on the white duvet before his muscles tensed as he forcefully pushed himself further up the bed. He leaned his back against the plastic headboard and took both of my small hands in his.
"You must promise... me something Lanna," he says.
I look into his chocolate-brown eyes, "what?" I say tightening my grip around his hands.
"Don't..." He paused to take a deep breathe in before continuing, "I love you Lanna, you and arabelle, so mu..." His eyes shut and his heavy breathing stopped...
I knew deep down that he wasn't going to make it, so instead of screaming for him to wake up, I just cried.
Waterfalls escaped my eyes. I held onto his arm, my head resting on his chest before nurses tackled me away...
