I can feel his gaze despite not looking. I turned around to meet his eyes and asked, "Why did you stay? Why did you choose to love someone like me?" He reached for my loose hair and tucked it behind my ear. "Because I love you." I blinked. "What? Just that? Despite knowing that I can't settle for long? That I'm afraid of commitments? That I'll leave you soon enough?" He smiled and his stupid cute dimple showed up. "I love you because you're you, you don't hide anything from me, you're honest, you showed me that you're not perfectーthat you're flawed. I love you even though you're afraid of commitment. I'll love you even if somebody else got your attention." He pulled me closer and kissed the tip of my nose. "If you ever leave me, I'll do anything just to prove you that you should be mine instead. That you're with the wrong person and you should be with me, again and again. You're the only one for me. You're destined to be with meーfor the rest of my life."
