Chap 8: A Crazy Night

Chapter 8

I woke up and I had no idea where I was or what happened. All that I saw in front of me was Ryder.

I was in a room I think, but I was not sure all I know was my head was pounding I spoke up, "Ryder what just happened, where are we?" 

“Do you want to know what happened? That asshole you were dancing with spiked your drink.”

“Wait Ryan?”

“Yes that ass. He went home right before I punched him straight in the face. Its assholes like him that need to be taught a lesson.”

I chuckled a little.  I touched my head and sat up “Ouch, my head is killing me." I said as i frowned.  

"So, where are we now?”

“You’re in my room I brought you back to my house I couldn’t let you stay there.”

“Here’s some Advil hopefully that will make you feel better. I already called Shivani and told her what happen. She told me she would call your mom and let her know that you were sleeping over at her house. Oh don't worry about my mom and Danny they went away for the weekend to Maryland to visit my uncle.”

“Okay thanks for this.” I said with a smile

“No problem he said smiling alright I'm going to go now I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight so if you need anything I'll be right in there.”

“Wait Ryder I need something.”

“Yea, what is it?” he said

“Can you please stay here tonight, I don't want anything to happen and I only feel safe when you're around. And plus it kind of feels wrong kicking you out of your own bed punk.”

“Again with calling me punk huh?”

“Yea well get used to it cause a kind of sticked.”

“Yea well can you make it unstick babe?”

“Really and what is going to happen if I don't get rid of the name?” I asked cunningly

“This will!!!”

And all of a sudden he started to tickle me. There is nothing more that I hate than being tickled!

I was gasping for air. It was like I was dying of laughter. My headache was suddenly starting to go away. Then he stopped and starred at me for a while. He has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen. I had this very weird feeling that he had the urge to kiss me. Okay focus Chloe he doesn’t like you like that and he never will.

Snap out of it!!!

But I couldn’t its as if I wanted him to be mine and I wanted to freeze this moment and play it back over and over again.

Then all of a sudden my phone started to ring. I looked at the phone screen and it read Shivani.

Man I totally forgot about her and Andy! Hopefully they had an amazing night. She totally deserves it. She has always been there and listened to me. She was never once selfish. She always put people first and always listens to what they had to say. She was original and never copied what other people did or how they would act. She is perfect and that’s why she is my best friend.

Before I answered Ryder spoke up “Hey I’ll go get some sheets to make a ground bed be right back!”

“Okay.”

I answered the phone “Hey girl talk to meh!”

She replied, “Hey boo!! Okay so your mom thinks that you’re sleeping over at my house.”

“Cool, thanks girl.” I said with a smile

“No problem just call me tomorrow because I have lots to tell you! I can’t wait to tell you. But just know it has to do with me and Andy being an item!”

“OH MY FRICKEN GOD , are you serious?!?!”

“Yes but I cant talk long my mom and dad went out of town so I had the free house. He’s over here right now, he’s in the bathroom anyways I’ll call you tomorrow. Love you girl, oh and listen no funny business. And if there is funny business make sure to use protection.  Love you, Bye”

“Okay listen here there will be no funny business or any type of business. Love you too byeeee.”

As soon as I hung up Ryder came in.

“So what type of business will there be?” He said with the biggest smirk wiped on his face.

“Ryder you were not listening to my conversation, were you?”

“No I was just walking by and I herd funny business. And some other things….”

“Like what things?” I said

He just smiled.

“Ryder I’m going to KILL YOU!!!” I said as I started to chase him around the room.

“DON’T YOU KNOW IT’S RUDE TO SNOOP ON PEOPLE’S CONVERSATION!!!?”

I took a pillow from the bed and started to smack him with it.

“OKAY, okay I’m sorry!!! I wont do it again.” He said

“Wait what did you say?”

“I said I’m sorry, please don’t make me repeat it again.”

“No I seriously didn’t hear you I think I have something in my ear.”

“Chloe I know you don’t have anything in your ear. But I will say it one last time . I’m sorry I shouldn’t have snooped. There I said it.”

“WOWWW!!! I cannot believe that the bad boy of North Shore High just apologized to North Shore High’s biggest nerd.” I said as I looked at the floor.

It was true I was a nerd who had no chance of falling in love. It was just me and my books.

“Look at me. Your not a nerd, nor never will be. You’re just special in your very own way. Don’t say you’re a nerd just because you get amazing grades. Everyone would kill to have stellar grades just like you. You’re much more than a nerd. And you deserve much more than you already have.”

I was left speechless.

“Thank you Ryder.” I said as I hugged him “You know your not so bad yourself. And you don’t deserve sleeping on the floor in your own room. I can control myself. “ I said as I laughed a little.

“Alright, Deal?”

“Deal.” I said as I shook his hand.

We made our way to the bed and laid down not facing each other.  I was so tired.  As I laid down I couldn’t stop thinking about tonight. Ryder was always there for me tonight. He somehow always shows up at the right time to save me. He’s like my hero.

I drowned in these thoughts and fell deep asleep.
