I give credit to the book parents love- I figured i should get some of the stories in there out for everyone to read :) but I will alternate and modify stories just because I don't remember the proper version, but morals will remain the same-Enjoy
Once upon a time long ago there lived a boy and his old father, who were both slaves under a tyrant King. The punished people who were lower in status whether they commit a wrong act, or just because he didn't like them.
It is unknown if this young boy had done a punishable act, or if the King was simply angry. However it was that day that the King ordered both the old father and his young son be whipped with a stick each a hundred times.
When the old man was ordered to step forward he did so without a word, everyone thought it was because he was quiet and afraid of the King, but the old man had no reason to feel afraid and guilty, he had done no wrong.
"Alright I'm starting the whipping" said the tall, strong and vain guard "1, 2,3.....89....100" the old man silently toke in the brutal and painful beats, but he had a look of worry instead of a look of pain,
Next the Guard started to tie the young boy down, preparing him for the beating, the old man covered his eyes and fell to his knees, holding his hand in his tongue so that he wouldn't scream
"Alright I'm starting" the Gaurd announced angrliy as he was annoyed of the old man's moaning and crying beside his son
"1,2,3...6..." the gaurd continued
"No please! not my son please beat me instead" the old man cried "I can't take this pain stop! you have to stop now!"
The King raised his hand, to signal the Gaurd to stop "What is the matter with you, you old fool?' the King questioned the old man
"You said nothing the whole time when you were striked a 100 strokes, but you seem to die when we began to beat your son, why is that?' the King looked confused
"You see my King, when you ordered for me to be beat the pain was coming but then it left when the strikes were finished, but when you ordered my son to be beat, it was unbearable and the pain was immense to a point were my heart was piercing thorugh me as I watched my son suffer such pain"
The king was pleased with the old man's ansewer and set both the son and father free
