I walked around the grocery store with my son Alexander on my hip. I was looking for some snacks when I saw him. Jonah, the man I stilled loved after all these years. Even after him leaving me, I still loved that jerk. I quickly grabbed a few snacks and I ran to the check out. "Momma!" My son squealed as he latched on to my shirt. "Yes love?" I said unloading the grocery basket. "Why didn't we get candy!" He said giving me puppy dogs eyes. I smiled and planted a kiss on his forehead. "We don't need any-" I stopped taking to my son when I heard him yelling my name. "Alyssa!" Said Jonah rushing towards me. He came to an abrupt stop and stood in front of us. I ran a hand through my hair when he kept glancing at Alexander. "Hey." He said smiling down at me. "Um, hi?" I said turning back to my grocery. "Who's this?" He said pointing to our son. "This is Alexander, my son." I said ignoring his gaze. I took a quick glance at Jonah and saw tears streaming down his face. I looked at our son, as he finally saw his father for the first time. "He's our son isn't he.." He said wiping tears off his handsome face. I nodded and grabbed my stuff. And then I left.

"Momma?" My son said playing with my hair. "Hm?" I said gazing at my son. "Who was he?" He said looking up st me. Tears started to form in my eyes. "He's your papa." I said, setting him down. "Papa?" He said looking back at the store. I continued putting groceries in my car not even realizing my son had left. "Papa!" He yelled, running into Jonah's arms. I smiled, even though Jonah left in the beginning I know now he'll stay till the end.
