Laughing a little, I turned to him and sighed.

"If I tell you, you have to promise not to laugh...it's part of why I don't have anyone to hang out with. They think my name is stupid", I said.

"Why? It's just a name", he shrugged as he started dribbling it."And no, I won't laugh. What is it?"

"Rayven", I said.

"Rayven", he nodded at the floor."Ok. Cool. Can I call you Ray for short?"

"Yeah, sure", I smiled a little and nodded."What's your name?"

"Cody", he said.

"Cody", I nodded."Ok. Cool."

He just laughed."Come on."

He turned and ran towards a net so I ran after him and we started playing.

Alright.

Flash forward to 4 years later.

Were in 6th grade now.

Middle school.

It did'nt matter how good of friends Cody and I became that day, because around 5th grade, he just sorta....forgot me.

He started hanging out with these other kids that were doing bad shit like drugs, drinking, breaking into houses etc.

The leader of this gang he was in was making him do all this though.

Hector was his name.

Hector and about 4 other friends of his basically took my best friend away.

The only time I saw Cody, was when he was walking down the hall of our school stoned out of his mind.

And weed was'nt the only shit Hector had him doing.
