The Powerful Ones

Chapter 1

Venus's POV

" Hey mom. How are you?" I asked my mom as my twin sister and I walked in the door.
"Girls, we need to talk. Please come in." She said in a gentle voice.
        Bellatrix and I shared a look.         
     "Mom, what is all this about?" Bellatrix asked as she gestured to the room. Two men in black suits, our doctor, and a woman dressed in a short, blue, formal dress, stood around our large living room.
      "Well, you girls have some 'medical issues' that need to be taken care of in a special hospital, with special doctors." Our mother paused for a second. "This is Dr. Daraya Grant and her two body guards, Adolphus and Jay." Mom said smiling slightly.
   "What do you mean, ' Medical Issues'? Last time we saw the doctor, we were perfectly healthy!" I said with a greatly confused look on my face.
    "Come on, Venus. We need to leave. These people are weirdos!!" Bellatrix told me as she grabbed my wrist, pulling me to her.
     "What the heck is going on!? We don't have medical issues, and I'm not leaving until you tell me what's happening!!" I yelled as I pointed at my angry, confused mother.
   "Calm down. We are here to help you. Your doctor contacted me saying that obviously something was wrong with you ladies." The woman said with a face as hard as stone, eyes boring into mine like laser beams.
     "Who are you people?" Bellatrix said as she looked curiously at the man named Jay.
    The piercing woman nodded at Adolphus, giving him a look that was almost normal.
   Almost.
     "Olivine, if we may speak to your daughters in private please leave the room." Adolphus murmured, gazing at our mother with hazel eyes.
    "Alright. I will be in the kitchen making lunch." Mom said as her topaz eyes glazed over. With a swirl of her ebony hair, she walked, almost floated, into the kitchen.
     "What did you do to her!?!!" Bellatrix growled in a low voice.
     "She needed to know that you girls were safe, so I told her that." Adolphus said as he gazed directly into my sisters eyes.
   I felt her sag against me and I knew that these people were dangerous.
     Jay stared at me with a warm, sympathetic gaze. Suddenly I knew that he was a good person and didn't belong with those two.
Ahh, if only he could come with me...... I thought to myself.... Where the hell did that thought come from!?!!! I shook my head and glared at the woman again.
   "We will be leaving now." I said with a voice as cold as ice, flames igniting in my eyes.
   I lifted my sister up, carrying her as if she was a baby.
Might as well be!! I thought.
  "Stoppp.......Where am I!?!!" My sister jerked her body and tried to stand up. "Calm down. We are leaving. Can you walk?" I asked her, concern heavy in my voice
  "I'm fine. Let me go!" She said smacking at my arms. "I'm driving!" Bellatrix said. "You can't drive you're still weak from what that guy did to you." I said as I climbed into the drivers seat of the car.
    "Ok. I'm going to sleep in the car. Drive safely, ok?" Bellatrix said to me as she reclined the seat all the way back.
  This car trip is going to be very long........... Better stop for gas.........I thought to my self as my sister fell asleep in the passengers seat. A long car trip indeed............
