"There are my sons!" all three looked over & smiled, there stood their father
"Papa/Dad/Pa!" (Nova/Lance/Edd) they said in unison before hugging their father, Shaw was currently 51 years old & had been growing grey hairs, but he still didn't look a day old
"You ready to set sail?" he asked
"Yeah!!" they cheered, more like Lance cheered & the other two said it calmly
"Well, me & your mother decided we'll be giving you parting gifts."
"Really?" he nodded
"Really." Koala came out with a neatly wrapped rectangular object & handed it to Nova
"For you, Nova sweetheart." he looked at it before taking it from his mother, the other two watched as he tore into the gift & he gasped in surprise
"No way! Mama, Papa! Is this…!"
"Its an actual spell book, Nova. Your father & I found it on our last mission."

"Thank you thank you thank!" he exclaimed as hugged the two & went over to a bench & sat down on it before throwing the book open & began reading it
"For you Lance." he gasped loudly when Shaw came over with a sniper rifle "Your uncle Will & I cooked this bad boy up for ya, hope you like it."

"Like it?! No no no no no no no!! I love it!" Lance grabbed the gun from Shaw & looked through the scope with a smile "This is totally awesome! Thanks dad!"
"No problem." he looked at Edd & saw he had a bit of a sad look as he stared at his brothers "& don't think I forgot about you, Edward."
"Oh no, you said my full name, something bad happened."
"No no no. Something, important is going to happen." Edd watched as his father reached something from behind him before pulling it out & presenting… Edd's grandfather's devil fruit "I want you to have this."
"W–What…?! I–Isn't that granddad's devil fruit?" Shaw nodded
"It is, that's why I want you to have it."
"I can't! Isn't it precious to you?"
"Oh it is, but, I'm not gonna do anything with it if I hold onto it. I was planning on giving it to one of the twins but, it wouldn't be fair on you so… its yours." he looked at Koala
"Ma…"
"He's serious, Edd darling." he looked at the twins & they motioned for him to take it, he gulped & took the fruit from his father
"I trust you with it, promise me… you'll use it with care & not for anything selfish." Edd nodded
"I promise you, Pa, I swear." Shaw smiled as tears started swelling up in his eyes
"Thank you…" he pulled Edd into a hug & he immediately hugged back (just saying, Shaw shrunk Edd into a average height)
(Time Skip)
"Hey losers!" the three siblings look over & saw the happy go lucky kid known as Knight D. Nico Papyrus, followed by his older siblings Calibri & Iris "You guys ready?!"
"Totally!" Lance yelled, Nova sighed
"Whatever, yeah." Papyrus grinned & ran back to their ship, Calibri & Iris sighed
"How is he so hyperactive?" Iris mumbled
"Gets it from dad." she nodded
"Oh yeah. Well, we'll be waiting on the ship for you two dorks. Whenever your ready." Iris said before walking off
"Please don't take too long though, Papy isn't too patient." the twins nodded & Calibri was off
"Yo guys!" a sudden red head had wrapped his arms around them & grinned "Its been awhile."
"Oh hey Shelby." he stood up straight & smirked at them this time, he had grown from a 5 year old to a 26 year old with slick back red hair, a muscular body & still wore that big hat Shaw gave him
"You guys have grown since the last time I saw you." Edd smiled
"Why thank you, your not to bad yourself." Shelby grinned & ruffled his head
"Oh your to kind!" Shelby heard someone call his name so he waved before heading away, now it was just those three
"So, this is it?" Lance asked
"No entirely, we'll be seeing each other in the future." Nova stated, Edd nodded at that
"Its more like a later, then a goodbye. Ya know what I'm sayin'?" they nodded, they smiled at each other before hugging
"I can't believe I'm saying this but, I'm kinda miss you Edd?"
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Nothing to bad…"
"Right."
(Another Painful Time Skip)
"Let's celebrate for the new crew mate!" Thatch cheered as he sat beside Edd, who looked at his uncle with a smile, everyone cheered
"Yeah! Party time!"
"How's it like being a Whitebeard Pirate?" Phoenix (mentioned at the end of Big Sister Atami as Marco's son) asked Edd
"Loud." Blake & Thatch laughed
"Well welcome to the family loser." they grinned at him who smiled at them, Edd got up & went to the crows nest. It didn't do much except for muffling the laughter & music a bit, he didn't mind though
He pulled out the fruit & stared at it for awhile, why did he chose me instead of Lance? he thought. Lance doesn't have powers either, then again… he'd be the only brother that had no talents or super power
"Did Pa really give this to me as a gift… or out of pity?" he stared at the fruit before shrugging & taking a bite
