My mom was driving me back home, and I asked what did doctor Bob tell you? She looked down at the red light,
And said very quietly and in a mumble voice, she said you have cancer. I asked what mommy? I didn't hear you. As I still was smiling. She finally said, you have cancer sweetheart. And I was young I didn't know what that was. But I did know, that if it came from the doctors my mom mumbled it, then it was bad. Mamma...what's cancer I asked. A very bad sickness, she replied. "Am I going to die?" I asked nervously...and I didn't know what my mom was going to say...but she replied with "no." And a sudden relief shot through my body. Even though...it was a life or death situation.
