"No Maura, we have been through this already." Bobby sighed exasperatingly, then continued, "he's not staying here anymore."

"I know Bobby, but where will he go?" Maura asked.

"I don't care, we'll just let him go. I'm sure the kid can manage on his own."

Maura just shook her head as a reply and left the room before she allows herself to shed some tears.

Niall was laying on the dusty wooden floor with his shadowy friend while muttering questions and occasional answers.

"Why are you so dark?" Niall asked curiously, while staring at the shadows curls.

"I don't know, why aren't you dark?" The shadow returned the question.

"Because my parents made me like this, silly." The six year old giggled. "Where are your parents?" Niall asked the young shadowed creature again.

Before he can answer, Maura came in the room with a laundry basket in her arms.

"Oh hey sweetie, how's your first day of school?" She asked sweetly.

"Good, I made a new friend!" Niall squealed and looked back at the no where to be found curly headed shadow.

"Yeah?" She inquired nicely.

"Yeah, he's funny and he has crazy hair. I don't know where he went though." Niall frowned.

"That's nice sweetie, don't worry he'll come back soon." Maura brushed him off and went to complete her laundry duty.

"What do you mean?" Niall asked his dad with a shaky voice.

"I'm sorry son." Bobby looked at the floor, avoiding eye contact.

"This is absolute bullshit, I'm just seventeen! How will I survive?!" Niall yelled," you know what, fuck you and this dump you call a house!" He continued, furiously grabbing his backpack and a couple of clothes from his closet.

He then slammed the door, leaving his house with nothing but a backpack and twenty bucks. He kept on walking to no where in particular, occasionally wiping his tears.

Niall had enough of the constant walking and the sky was a clear indicator of how late it was getting, so the sad blond decided to sit on the park bench and that's when everything that happened actually hit him.

While he was in a trance of shock and realization, he felt a whip of warm air hit him in the chilly night and groaned at that.

"Harry leave me alone, you know that this is all your fault." Niall said with somewhat a bit of anger in his voice, but he can never be mad at his friend.

Right?

Harry just sat there and stared at Niall.

Niall didn't understand why Harry was always there, why Harry is always following him. But he was thankful for Harry since he was the only one who has been there through thick and thin so he never asked him about it.

"I'm sorry." Harry said in a small voice. "I'm sorry you have assholes as an excuse for parents. Just forget about them." The very shadow looking lad said.

Niall just looked up at Harry and smiled a small smile, before noticing some black dust on the side of Harry's lips.

Niall tried to wipe it off but Harry beat him to it.

"What happened to you?" Niall chuckled.

Harry smirked, glad to see that this situation isn't having such an impact on Niall.

"Let's just sneak in a motel little Ni." Harry chuckled, ignoring Niall's question. The blue yed kid nodded in agreement and allowed Harry to carry his not so heavy backpack.
