Sleeping In The Arms of Kei

"Ugh, I can't do this anymore! I'm done." Ariana grumbled, roughly closing her book, crumpling the paper in her hand before throwing it in the trash bin beside her study table.

She has been studying Math for hours but she still can't understand the solution to the problem and she's really starting to get irritated. She cursed under her breath for being stupid at the subject.

"Why can't I be smart at Math? I hate it!"

Ariana felt a pair of hands on her shoulder. She looked at the owner of the lovely hands that she really loves. She almost forgot that her boyfriend was with her.

"Need help?" Kei said with a smile on his face.

She nodded. Her frown was automatically replaced by a smile. She didn't know what type of spell Kei casted on her because every time he smiles, she can't help but smile back no matter how bad her mood is.

Kei took a chair and sat beside Ariana. He patiently taught her Math. He glanced at her and smile at himself. He really likes her serious face but then he noticed her sleepy eyes.

"Ari..." he called.

"Hm?" Ariana answered, eyes still on her notepad.

"Did you even sleep last night?"

With that, Ariana glanced up to Kei. She let out an uneasy laugh knowing that he doesn't like it when she's depriving herself sleep.

"Exams are near and I need to study to harder. I don't wanna be lowest in Math again this semester. It's so frustrating and embarrassing." She explained instead of answering the question.

"So you didn't sleep."

Ariana just nodded.

Kei took her hand and motioned her towards the couch. He sat as Ariana was staring clueless at him.

He patted the space beside him. "Sit. You need some punishment."

Ariana hesitantly followed and sat beside Kei. He felt his hands wrapped around her shoulders as he pulled her closer. She was a little surprised because she thought her boyfriend would scold him for not getting enough sleep.

"Let's continue studying after you get some sleep."

Ariana leaned her head on Kei's shoulder. Before closing her eyes, she felt his fingers playing with her hair and heard him humming a mellow tune.

"Sleep tight, Ari."
