Prologue

The world is full of imperfections, inhumanity and pure evil. In every being, every human, there is bound to be one sin; whether that be lust, gluttony, sloth, greed, envy, wrath or vanity; this is the story of our world's vile wrongdoings and the malicious beings that live within it. This is the story of the forgotten eighth sin of the infamous seven deadly sins. The child that is broken beyond repair, but repairs others at the expense of her own happiness. The child who has suffered from an unbearably unfair lifetime and had to push through. This is the story of Tristitia.

WARNING: This story mentions several times sensitive topics such as domestic abuse, self-harm, emotional abuse, rape, sexual assault and a variety of mental illnesses. These topics may be upsetting to some people and if you do not wish to read a book full of such mentions, I highly recommend you do not read this book. If you do read this, thank you and I very much hope you enjoy this story.

A/N: This story has characters who are fundamentally based on real people and some of the events have actually occurred. The characters and the scenes are, of course, manipulated to an extent to suit the story as well as create some back story or introduce some new characters. Have fun trying to figure out which events in the story are based on reality and which characters are real or not :). On another note, if I make any grammatical mistakes, please feel free to point them out, it would help a lot since I forget to edit my stories sometimes (so you're allowed to get crazy here grammar nazis!).
