The Rising

Episode One

"Eh. I'm sure that isn't accurate." Alexis stated her thought out loud in the classroom as the fellow students finished reading. It was one of those, 'Everyone read out loud at the same time at the same pace and at the same part'. Which she found it quite bothersome as it limits quick and inpatient readers to continue on to the sources page. Well, it was only Alexis who wanted the sources page due to her non-believing mind about who writes these things.

The teacher was only two steps away from her desk but had a yard stick ruler. With a 'gentle' swing of it, he smack the end of it across Alexis's face for speaking out of place. Sending her out of her seat and onto the ground with the book open and planted on the ground with her. Pages were press onto each other, causing the folded inward pages. She looks up at her teachers, her right eye reddening into a black red rose before her body seemingly jumped at him.

(Someone yelling)

The teacher wore patches all around his face and arms. Injuries caused by the little girl Alexis which sat with her father in front of the principal desk. Outside the office, Sniper sat on one of the few waiting chairs place along the hallway's wall. "This is the third time this month and beginning of the year. Couldn't your child act like a respectful person for one year?" The principal asked with his pair of arms crossed in front of him and on the table. The injured teacher sat beside him with his head down and acting like he was so hurt. He was human while the principal was more of a four armed Orc race.

"Well trouble runs in the family. There isn't much I can do with the written future~." Madness said with a small chuckle at the end as he wrap his arm around Alexis's bandaged head. "Though, it seems like the teacher did more damage than she did. And it was on the head~ Anyways, it's a simple case of self defense. She only return 75% of the force done to her~. That's still amount of reasonable force~." He continued to talk as if nothing was serious and everything was a joke. This bother Alexis as she didn't quite like how her father takes on situations every time with a childish attitude. The pout that was on her face was still visible through all the talking.

"Still it isn't acceptable at our teaching environment. Serious injuries was still cause by your child and sadly I'll have to put her on a week suspension to make sure it safe for the other students to learn."

"Sure, whatever you say. You are the boss after all ands it's not like I have any priority higher than you~." Madness said with a smile before standing up with Alexis bowing. "Thanks for your time~We'll shall be going. 'We'll simply shall enjoy your time on this earth has been lessen.'" He mumbles the last part under his breath but she could still hear him.

Alexis and her father walked out the door of the office and into the hallway where Sniper joined them. They all began to walk to the few exits of the campus grounds. Alexis was carried on Madness's shoulder while Sniper took his father's hand while they headed back home. A one floor house with a basement and a very small attic which was only meant to keep pipes out of sight.

Later on, Alexis was in her room which she shared with her brother. When she first came into the room, she immediately went for the bed. Jumping with her arms open and landing onto the bed face first. Making a small puff sound as she displace the air under her. It wasn't much of a good idea as it reinforce the aching headache.

"So... Mind telling what you did this time?" Sniper asked to disrupt the silence of the bedroom as he set her bag down in front of her bed before sitting on the edge of the same bed. He rest his bag on his lap as he tilted his head back to look at her for an answer. "Mr. Dickhead decide to smack me with a yard stick. Who the hell even get the old Imperial System Ruler!" She shout with her head turn to the side so her voice was muffle by the bedsheets. "Well um...the pawn shop I suppose..." Alexis just looks at Sniper with an annoyed expression before grabbing the bedtime story book and throwing it at him. He catches with both hands and slides it under his desk. "Well, are you gonna be joining me on watching the fighting tournament? I heard the championship today." He asked as he walked over to his bed which was located on the opposite side of the room. He set his bag in the same place as hers but on his bed.

"Eh...sure. Just call out to me when the fighting starts." She said before Madness walking in onto them with bags of ordered food. First he poke his head into the doorframe of the room before shouting out. "Dinner is here~," he said with a cheerful tone before setting one bag on Sniper's bed and Alexis's bed before walking out of the room. She opens the bag and takes out a small rectangular lid container and a normal size square lid container. It was one of those take out order boxes from a restaurant. The rectangular container had four balls of baked flakey bread covered in chocolate and sprinkles. The square container had rices in the large slot while the two small slot had some barbecue meat and panned cooked vegetables. There were small chop up ring seasoning on the rice which was poorly spread. In the bag, there were also a plastic fork and spoon.

Somewhat disappointed, Alexis casually climbs over to Sniper to see what he had. Sniper's main container had fried ramen with chopped up vegetables and chicken. His side container had some cookies with frosting stuff in the inside. She not so sneakily takes one of the cookies which Sniper notice but knew best not to fight with her.

After a few minutes of eating, the living room tv could be heard with people cheering on. Sniper quickly closes the containers of food he had and rush out to the living room. The fighting tournament show was just starting and they were announcing the different contestants and rounds they would be playing today. Alexis didn't hurry as she only like to watch the part when they actually fight. Not multiple replays of old games and two female elfs on a stage talking about the upcoming fights. Sniper slides onto the couch with his father which decide to sit on the ceiling this time to watch.
