Lexi woke up to the sound of construction work outside her window. "Dammit." She thought as she started to move from her bed. As her feet hit the floor, the legs that were rolled up on her pants dropped and swayed a crossed her ankles. Dragging herself a crossed the carpeted floor to her bathroom she immediately began thinking about what she would wear for the day. "If I wear the flannel will it be to masculine? But if I wear my blue skirt it'll be too short." Her thoughts lead her to the bathroom where she immediately showered, being sure to shave her legs and arms. After drying off she went straight to her makeup drawers and began to apply as much as she could to cover her tired eyes, wrinkles and the scar that sat on her left cheek that she received when she and her brother go into a fight in the second grade. After finishing her routines of makeup, clothes, breakfast and the last cup of coffee before heading out the door Lexi took one last look in the mirror that sat by her front door. She looked at herself up and down and almost didn't recognize herself. This morning she was a normal looking young woman, her stomach was pudgy and her thighs had stretch marks. Lexi now was thin looking, she had made herself to look like a woman that anyone would die to be and any man would want but, she couldn't wait to come home and become herself again, sweatpants and all.

"Hey baby! What's your name sweetie?" Yelled a construction worker at Lexi as she began to walk down the street. Most would say that Lexi was dressed too provocative, because God knows that a woman who would wear leggings and a button-down flannel is just "asking for it." As Lexi began to walk a little faster another man began to yell "Hey! Don't be rude! Answer the man whore!" Lexi had learned to ignore these words, she had to it was normal to be called derogatory things whether you did anything or not. Lexi glanced back at the two men who were now standing on the sidewalk staring at her. She continued to walk down the street, quickening her pace as she took every step. She felt eyes on her and she could hear the whispers but she continued to walk. "I just have to get to work." She repeated to herself over and over but she still felt nervous. She would glance back often trying to see if there maybe was someone following her, she didn't see anyone usually but she just couldn't shake the feeling. Today was a different day for Lexi as she walked down her normal paths, this time she definitely felt followed. Instead of glancing back Lexi slowly put her hand into her purse grabbing for her pepper spray, in one swift move she turned pointing it at eye level only to have her arm snatched. Holding her arm a tall man stared down at her and smirked. He was somewhat handsome with dark hair and hazel eyes, Lexi began to shake as he held her arm slowly getting tighter and tighter. "L-l-let go of me." She stuttered out, tears welled in her eyes as she looked up at the man. Lexi looked down to see her pepper spray on the ground and out of her reach. "Stop crying and keep your mouth shut. Let's go." The man said and began to lead her toward an alley. Lexi kept quiet and still shook, she wasn't sure what was going on and seeing the size of the man she knew she wouldn't be able to fight him off. She stared at the alley way and knew that this was going to happen, she was going to be raped.

Lexi was led through the alley and to a door, which she happened to recognize. This was the same bar that she had gone to with her ex-boyfriend, Greg. As the strange man led her into the bar she remembered the fights she had with Greg, how he was so oppressive and wanted her to be a certain way for him. How she had left him standing at the bar as she walked away feeling empowered and ready to take on the world. Now she was back, being dragged by a man she had never met and wanting so much to be anywhere else. The man took her through the bar all the way to another door, a door she didn't recognize, her stomach sank. "W-w-where are you taking me?" Lexi managed to breath out through her shocked and shanking body. The man stopped and threw her body toward him as if she was a rag doll. With his other hand he heled her face up towards his, through his teeth he firmly whispered, "Keep quiet, got it? Unless you want your fucking ass beat you best keep that little mouth of yours shut." Tears began to well up in Lexi's eyes as she stood with her face still being held by the man. She couldn't speak out of fear but she still wondered where she would end up. Why hadn't this man just gotten it over with already? Why was he leading her around like this? Lexi could only hope that she wouldn't be killed.
