Male's POV:

As a male in eighth grade, maybe it's a bit too early for me to be defining my sexuality. By the standards of society. Not for me. I'm sure.

I'm gay. How do I know?

Only the hottest guy in our grade, who I fell for earlier in the year. Who I don't stand a chance with, considering he's straight as hell.

I've longed for him for a while now; it's almost as if I can't live without him. Whenever I see him, my heart beats erratically.

Of course, with my luck, I bump into him right at that moment. He's just a bit taller than me, and I stare into his lime green eyes. He looks back into mine for a second, before tossing me out of the way.

"Watch where you're going... fag." He spits the last part out. It hits me like an arrow through the heart. There should be no way for him to know... does he?

I doubt it. I've been gay bashed since 6th grade anyway, and there's no way for them to know. But how I long for someone to...

I may as well... most people won't be going to the same high school as I am, so it's not like much could happen.

I plan a little. Lunch it is.

~~~Timeskip to lunch~~~
I stand up on my table, the highest ground in the room. Everyone's attention is on me.
'I'm going to regret this, aren't I?' I think to myself. Too late to back out now though. I take the mic.
"Uh, hey guys." I start. 'GREAT START, IDIOT.' I scold myself. "Anyway, uh..." I trail off for a second and stare at the water fountains. Then I clear my throat.
"Well, I kinda felt the need to share something with you all." I continue. This piques their attention again, and I can hear the side whispers die out.
"Thank you all for listening. I've repressed this long enough, and I can't take this feeling any longer." I continue, and people start calling out.
"You're going to kill yourself?" Someone calls out, and I just stand there, waiting for them to shut up. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen because more people join in on the shouting.
"Maybe you should!" Someone else calls. I feel the tears springing to my eyes, but I refuse to cry. Not here, not now.
"Yeah, fag!" Someone else yells. My eyes water, but I hold the tears back.
"EVERYONE SHUT UP." A feminine voice shouts. Everyone shuts up as directed. "LET HIM TALK."
I inwardly thank the person, although I can't identify who it actually is.
"As I was saying... I'm... I'M GAY." I shout into the mic, toss the mic to a random person sitting near me, and run to the bathroom to hide. I start crying, but I keep it silent. I sit in a stall, shaking, until someone comes in.
They knock on my stall door, and I say in between silent sobs, "Taken." I watch the person's feet, expecting them to move; but they stay rooted to the ground.
"Fucking fag. You really should kill yourself." The voice continues, and then I realize who it is.
Him.
If my heart hadn't already shattered, it definitely did at that moment. I knew how much I messed up; but I was ready to die at the moment.
"M-maybe... maybe I w-will," I stutter, planning it. I just wish for him to go away; to let me think in peace; to let me regret in peace.
"Good, then maybe the world would be a bit better," He growls, but I tune it out. I need to think, and all of that isn't going to help.
The rest of the day flies by; I'm not gay-bashed anymore, surprisingly, but everyone has dropped all contact with me. By the second-to-last period, I've given up.
I walk home quietly. My hands in my pockets, I look down at my feet as they move, one after the other.
'Why can't the world just work like that? Just... accept one another, work together in peace? Not have bullshit, oppressing thoughts? And why the hell do they have to voice them so clearly?' I question.
I continue walking home. As I turn my final corner, I come face to face with a girl from school. She bumps into me and continues walking without saying a word. I spin around as she walks away, and cough to grab her attention. As I do, she pauses.
"Excuse me, but FUCK YOU." I yell at her, causing her to swivel around faster than I thought possible.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME, FAG?" She shrieks. I flinch, but keep a straight (unlike me) face.
"I said... FUCK YOU, BITCH." I yell back, and she steps closer to me. I stand my ground as she continues moving closer, and closer, until she gets into an arm's length away from me.
She raises her arm, and before I can react, she slaps me. The slap stings, but isn't bad. I turn around, and keep walking without giving her the reaction she wanted.
She's on my back, scratching at me, until my legs collapse and I fall backwards, smashing her head into the sidewalk. Before she moves, I roll over, and punch her in the stomach.
She gasps as my fist makes contact, and before she can do anything, I punch her nose, earning a crack.
I stand up. "Don't mess with someone you can't take." And with that, I start walking away.
 "Yeah..." She starts, panting, "Same goes to you, faggot." I turn around and give her a smile. She rubs her nose and walks away without another word. I let her.
I then continue on my way home. When I finally get home, that's when my courage breaks. I run past my mom, who has a shocked expression, up the stairs, into my room, shut the door, lock it, and cry.
I sit there, in a corner, crying. I weep.
'I'm so, so, fucked. Why did I do this to myself?' I ponder in my head.
I hear a knock on my door, but I ignore it.
The knocking just gets louder. I continue ignoring it.
"Seriously dude! This hurts! Open up!" My brother yells. I snicker a bit.
A/N:
Well this sucked but that's fine I guess it's better than nothing.
I'm not sure when the next chapter will be up; I'm not the one writing it. But maybe soon.
If you don't like the language, leave. With that, bye bye!
