For ages, governments have been spying on their people, but only recently has it been considered normal. You can't exist in this world without always being watched, trust me, I've tried.
And if you're thinking that most people don't know they're being watched, you're wrong. People are well aware, they've just been trained to think it's acceptable.
The world's more technologically advanced as well. No, we don't have flying cars, no we haven't found a concrete cure for cancer, but we have invented many new "security measures". You'll get to learn more about that later. I can't be spoiling everything, now can I?
I'm not your average human. I'm a corrupted one. You'll know what that means soon enough, but this book isn't about me. It's not even in my point of view, but since I'm the one most acquainted with the horrors of this world I thought I might as well be the one to introduce you to it.
