Chapter 5
(Hunter POV)
I stared at Clara as she wrote down my answers I’ve given her. She’s so different yet familiar. She’s not like other girls who would try desperately to get my attention. I wonder why.
For some reason, her voice chimes in my head like bells and its music to my ears. It’s been a long time since I experienced this feeling. It was like when I was with Victoria all over again. Everything she says is like a melody that I can’t get sick off.
No! You love Victoria! Don’t think about Clara! Victoria is still waiting for you! My subconscious mind told me. He’s right. My heart belongs to Victoria. I must focus on my task.
“Hunter!” I snapped out of it and looked into Clara’s blue hypnotizing eyes.
“Sorry, you were saying?”
“I was saying, how many siblings do you have?”
“One younger brother and one older sister.” I was telling the truth.
I do have an older sister and a younger brother. My sister’s name is Theresa Anne Cross and she’s 20. She’s engaged to Silver Star Kingdom’s eldest son. They were arranged to be married at the age of 19 and they hated each other at first. But, like how the cliché stories go, they fell in love.
Then there’s my younger brother who is 16 and studying at the Royal Academy which was owned by the Rising Sun Kingdom, which was Victoria’s parents.
As the eldest son of my kingdom, I had to take my place as throne. I had to find a wife to get married to or I’ll not be fit for King. I wanted Victoria to be my Queen. To rule beside me, but alas, she got kidnapped to god knows where. I could only pray that she’s safe and sound.
“Oh crap! I got to go, Hunter. I’ve to be home by 5 o’clock and it’s already 4.45!” Clara said and quickly packed her stuff before she sung her bag on her shoulders.
“Oh. Why don’t I give you a lift? It will probably be faster.” I offered, standing up to retrieve my car keys from the table.
“That would be great! Thanks!” She smiled widely at me and I couldn’t help but smile back.

When we reached her house, she turned to me and said, “I’ll see you tomorrow. Why don’t we continue the project tomorrow at my house? We will alternate the days of getting to know each other so it wouldn’t be boring.” I nodded.
“Yeah sure. Bye!” She waved goodbye to me and I sped down the street back to the hotel.

(Clara POV)
Morning. It’s the worst time of the day. Whoever could wake up in that godly time is a freakin’ vampire. Like, how many of you people would rather laze in bed all day then go to school early in the morning for boring lessons.
I trudged out of bed and headed downstairs where my aunt and uncle were eating their breakfast. As usual, my uncle was reading the morning newspapers and was drinking a cup of coffee that was made by my aunt. Her coffees are fantastic. One drink of it and you can forget about Starbucks. Believe me, I love Starbucks but my aunt’s coffees beats it.
I grabbed a granola bar and chatted with my aunt and uncle for a little while before heading to the hell-hole I call school.

“Clara! So, I heard you went to Hunter’s house!” Emily grinned wickedly at me, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. I laughed and shook my head.
