I was busy looking for someone at the airport because she said she'd be here by 8:00 am, so I came at 7:50 am. "Choi Tae-Ri!" I was about to look back when I suddenly saw who was calling me "Oh Eun-Ji?" She's been my friend since we were in grade school. She is also my half-cousin because her mother married my uncle two years ago.

She came close to me, and she hugged me tightly. "How are you? It's been three years! And hey, you're my cousin now. Unbelievable, right? " And then she laughed while still hugging me. She moved to the US for about three years for her degree, and now she has returned because she recently graduated from Harvard and is soon to be a model.

"I'm fine, and by the way, you look tall in that outfit, huh?" I smiled as we separated from hugging each other. We continued chatting as we arrived at the mall to go shopping. We decided to surprise her parents because they didn't know that Eun-ji had returned.

"Guess who's here?" I shouted at the door excitedly, and when they saw me, they smiled and asked, "Taeri ah~, what brings you here?" I smiled and looked back. Then they saw Eunji. They smiled and hugged their daughter.

We were chatting while having dinner when someone suddenly knocked on the door. "I'll go for it, excuse me." My uncle stood up and went to the door to open it. I continued eating and didn't bother to look at who it was.

I was on my way to the comfort room when I noticed my uncle with the familiar guy beside him, and my jaw dropped when I realized who it was.

"Taehyung?/Taeri?" We called out our names in surprise. What the hell is he doing here? How come he knew this place?

"Jagi!" Eunji called her with excitement and hugged Taehyung with a smile on her face. Huh? Jagi?

"ja... gi?" I asked, with confusion in my voice, "Are they dating?" Duh, Taeri, it's obvious how Eunji clung to Taeh's arms.

"Oh, I forgot to inform you, Taehyung and I have been dating for 7 months now" she was still smiling and looking at him, then Taehyung smiles at her. "oh, congrats, e-excuse me" I faked my smile and then went to the restroom.

What the heck? 7 months? So that means-- "taeri? are you there?" I stopped thinking when eunji knocked and asked if I was there, and I answered Yes.

While eating, I could see taehyung's eyes were looking at me, so I looked at him too and stared at him. That's when he looked away to avoid eye contact with me. What a jerk. I secretly rolled my eyes at him, and I continued eating my dessert,

A few minutes later, Taehyung stood up because someone was calling him on a phone call.

"Eunji, when will you tell him you will be away for 5 years for your course? The time is running, dear." her mom said. Her course was about modeling, and she had another year to pursue her dream. It wasn't easy to be a model.

"Mom, I will tell him about it. Just let me handle this" I can see the pain in her eyes while she's looking at taehyung with so much love; after that, taeh returned to his seat and leaned his hands around eunji's shoulder. "What's the matter, jagi?"

I was about to say something when mom called me, "I'll be right back" I excused them at walked away "hello mom? wae? (why) I'm here at eunji's house, yes I will be there; okay mom see you in a bit" after that, I hung up then return to the dining area.

"Uhm, what happened?" I saw eunji crying on her mom's shoulder while auntie hugged her "they broke up," aunt heeji answered. I gasped a little bit and rub her back while comforting her.

"He said he doesn't want me to go, but what should I do? That's my dream," she murmured. We're here in her room, and she's still crying. I did my best to make her stop crying "shh, let it out, and it's okay, I'm here."
