Silent footsteps. That was all the sound Chorolia's movement caused. She moved swiftly in the forest, thick trees shielding her from human view. Suddenly, she knelt down, silk creases of her dress folding together in a endless pattern as her dress adjusted to her change in position. The folds in the soft, powder blue silk moved, barely an inch as Chorolia made herself comfortable. She knew this was going to be a long and painful process as she braced herself for the pain that was to come.
Holding out her hands, her soft voice floated out and magically weaved themselves into a intricate web, laying itself on the earth of the clearing. The web sparkled blue with the magic of her words as she stood up, dirt immediately rolling down onto the ground, and Chorolia stepped, left foot first, into the portal. Enchanted blue flames sprang up and writhed about, engulfing the Spirit Of Music in their forceful dance, dragging her under and into the magical field of energy that would seal the world's destiny forever.
"Morbiguez Torriquelle. Thou shall ne'er escape."
1,000,000,000 years later......
"Child? It is time to wake up. "
A figure looms above me, the lines of the black silhouette fuzzy, radiating a warm and gentle feeling. I blink my eyes rapidly, clearing my vision. Shooting up in my bed, my fiery red locks are thrown back and they messily flop back down. I woozily stand up, then very ungracefully almost fall flat on my face. A pale arm shoots out to catch me, its warm grip relaxing me. The arm nudges me upright and I almost fall again, like a weak and flimsy tag doll being guided by invisible strings, but I catch myself in time. Attempting to look like everything in the past few minutes never happened, I brush my hand through my hair and my fingers catch on a knot as my head is jerked backward by the amount of force I had used to try and present my hair neatly. I wince and unsuccessfully blink back the tears. Mother giggled, but it wasn't a mocking laugh, but rather one that could not be held back as she watched my antics.
"Come child. Let me help you. "
Her voice floats and acts like a calming breeze. Soft hands guide me to the rose wood door, where my bathroom was. I put myself in front of the mirror and watch as she runs the brush through my hair gently. Miraculously, it doesn't hurt one bit. How strange. As she was doing that, I start to get lost in my thoughts again. Yeah, I agree that I'm quite a dreamy kid. I always wondered why Mother's eyes were a clear crystal blue while mine were a deep, green emerald. Our hair colors also differed. Hers were a pale golden blonde, as soft as feathers, and mine were a long, frizzly sunset red. Mother's gentle voice guided me back to reality.
"Come, child. Breakfast is ready, and you must be hungry, are you not?" She smiled, a warm, radiant expression, then turned on a heel and stepped out onto the soft carpet, barely making a noise as she moved swiftly down the hallways. I glanced into the mirror. My emerald eyes stared back at me, my skin as pale as ever. I subconsciously raise a hand to touch the hairdo Mother gave me. The feathery strands of hair had been brushed up, held with a beautiful red hairband. Nestled in the strands to the right of my head was a extravagant pheonix hair pin, the sunset colored feathers sprawling out in a multitude of directions. It really did seem that one of those exotic, fictional birds were perched upon my head, melodiously declaring me as its owner. I shake my head and find myself pulled back to the harsh reality. I quickly push the door open and head into the kitchen after Mother.
I settle into one of the soft and plush bar stools. Crossing my legs comfortably, I dig in to the delicious breakfast Mother has prepared. I glance up as I hear Mother speak.
"Slow down, my child. The food is not going to walk away, let alone grow wings and fly--- My child! " She is cut short by violent coughing. I bend over and repeat the process, trying to remove the food from the wrong tube. Eventually, my throat becomes dry and my coughs sound sore. Mother rushes to my aid, immediately gesturing to one of the maid to get me a glass of water. The maid does as she's commanded. The liquid is slid before me, and I grasp it. Throwing it into my mouth, I swallow hurriedly, and recover. Mother shakes her head.
