Hi! I'm back! Like a week away from exams *groans really loudly*
So yeah, I'm alive. Wattpad didn't let me login since the last time I updated which was sometime last year in September, I think. Sorry about that. And I just remembered that I wrote this chapter last year but couldn't post it because of wattpad but I'm posting it now! (Just a warning though, if I disappear again it's because I have exams x_x Sorryy)
Anyway, this chapter is directly following chapter 35, where Azrael finds Zach supposedly dead on her bed. The bonus chapter was set in the time directly after and even partially during chapter 35 and this is right after. All of the chapters are in sequence. So in case anyone was confused, the bonus chapter was not set in a different time.
Can you guys please also guess who the mystery girl and guy is in the bonus chapter? Preettyyy pleassseee :D
Enjoy (:

How many times did they plan on putting me through this? First it was the car accident that landed him in a coma for a week and now I find his beaten body lying in my bed? Was this another sick joke? Were we toys to the demons? I couldn't function. My brain was screaming orders to get him cleaned up myself or just get him to hospital immediately but I couldn't move because of how violently I was shaking. It was safe to say that I was in shock. I could do nothing but stand and stare at Zach's body. Even though I knew I should be doing something to try to help him, I couldn't get myself to move.
Dead. Zach's dead.
Those words were like slaps making me jump forward as I searched for a pulse once more. Cursing when I found none, I stuck my ear to his mouth, listening closely for the slightest sign of a breath. "Please don't be dead. Please don't be dead." I whispered desperately. I let out the biggest sigh of relief when I felt the lightest breath against my ear. It was like a whisper. Clearly I had missed that the first time.
He was alive . . . for now. But if he continued bleeding like this, he won't be for too long.
Hurriedly, I ripped off his shirt and started wrapping different articles of my random clothing from his waist to his neck. I had no idea if it was the smartest idea at the moment but right now, all I was aiming for was that the cloths would stop the bleeding a bit. I wasn't wrapping them as firm as I should have, though, due to my shaking hands. No matter how hard I tried, they wouldn't stop shaking.
Come on, Azrael. You can't let him die.
I ripped one of my shirts down the middle and wrapped it around three slices on his bicep. With my trembling fingers, I fumbled with the knot, cursing myself.
"You know, for a high ranked Archangel, you don't work so well under pressure." A new voice said, making a few form of surprise spread through me.
I knew that voice. Even though it wasn't nearly as high pitched as it once was, I would never forget that voice.
Claire.
What on Earth was Zach's unforgettable ex-girlfriend doing here? The last time I saw her was during the time Zach had been in the coma and she had left the hospital. I hadn't seen her since. My eyes widened in shock at the sight of her walking into my bedroom casually, looking like she was floating due to the amount of natural grace she had. Gosh, how much shock can a girl handle in a day? She wasn't the annoying, clingy girlfriend I had parted terms with her on. In her place stood a gorgeous long haired brunette with gem like emerald eyes that glittered with wisdom that I was never aware she had. Her usual hard, hatred filled stare was replaced with endless knowledge and amusement that scared me. A few months ago, the Claire I knew would walk around with the 'I'm-better-than-all-of-you' aura. Now, she radiated nothing but mature confidence.
