The Dare // Chapter One

Hayden's POV
I sit down at my usual lunch table surrounded by my friends Carson, Johnny and Rush. "Hey Hayden, were playing Dare or Dare, you in?" Johnny says with an eyebrow raised. "Sure why not." I say with a shrug as I throw my backpack under the table. "Okay Dare or Dare?" Johnny asks with a smirk growing on his lips. "Hmm let me think." I say with a pause "I think I'm going to go with Dare!" I say with a chuckle. I watch as the three boys in front of me discuss Dare ideas before turning back to face me "If you can kiss Annie Leblanc by the end of the school year..." the two boys pause and exchange looks "we'll both pay you $200." Carson says with a mischievous smirk plastered on his face. I look over at the petite girl. she sits alone with her head in a book so engrossed she barely pays attention to the drama surrounding her. I screw up my face and turn back around to face my best friends Carson and Johnny. "Okay but I doubt I'll be getting that money." I joke before standing up and slinging my navy blue backpack over my shoulder "Where is she?" I look around the busy lunch hall "right there!" Rush sniggers as he points to a girl who's sitting alone at a large table with her face in a book. Slowly I made my way to her table. "Hey beautiful!" I say and lean on the table, the girl looks up, her mouth opens wide as she looks up at me "Are you okay?" I ask with a smirk. The girl looks about to see any other possible people I could be talking to "I-I-I'm fine..." the girl stutters and looks down at the ground "Wanna go for a walk and talk?" I ask the girl with a smirk, it's obviously a rhetorical question who wouldn't want to walk and talk with me plus the girl seemed alone and vulnerable making it ten times easier for me to snag that money "No... sorry I... i um... need to go to the toilet." The girl panics before quickly standing up and running far from the table and down the hallway. "Looks like I'll be keeping my money!" I hear Johnny shout from behind me as he walks past "Give it a day and she'll be all over me! Nobody can resist me I'm Hayden Summerall!" I shout back cockily before going to search for the girl...
