~ Falling Away With You ~ Sherlock - w/ reader insert

Start from the beginning

Watson wrinkled his nose at the thought of his best friend having manly feelings for him; but quickly switched the thought towards who this woman was.

“When did you get together?” John asked.

“Last year” Holmes replied.

“Of course you didn’t tell me....So who is she?” He questioned.

“A person” Sherlock answered confidentially.

“Describe her” He cross-questioned.

“Smart – not as smart as me of course –“

“Modest as always Sherlock”

“You wanted me to describe her; I’m at least going to do it properly. Anyway, how do I need to describe her? So would you care for her personality more so than her anatomy? Or by describe do you imply you’d like me to give a conclusion of my perspective about her? ” Holmes retorts.

Dumbstruck, John raises an eyebrow and sighs.

“I mean, how would you describe her as a whole? Is she, nice? Is she, funny? Is she, beautiful? It’s not complicated Shirly”

“Please don’t call me that. But I understand what you mean now: so, what can I say? She is: nice, smart as I said, caring I suppose; happy and quirky which is always good, attractively alluring if you were wondering...and heart-warming...She makes me feel content. Sometimes, I don’t even need a nicotine patch or to be in an autopsy session to feel averagely glad: when I’m with her or speaking to her it’s like I have serendipity beside me.”

John stared in amazement at Sherlock’s words. It was beautiful how anyone like Sherlock, who resented the idea of this topic; had such passion inside him (even if it was a mild flaring of it). The mediocre liking of people for Holmes was not high, and no one knew him better than John. Sherlock’s brain was like a highly guarded receptacle full of riddles, answers, mysteries and information no one could remember as quick as himself; and although John couldn’t read his mind like a book, he certainly knew his best friend through and through.

“That was...lovely. I’m sure she’s a lucky girl” The Doctor replied, still slightly speechless.

“Oh yes she is.” Sherlock winked cheekily finishing the sentence.

They both sat chuckling at each other. The friendship between John and Sherlock had hardened since his return. Painful memories of John’s grieving had been pushed out the picture by the overjoyed serenity of no longer being alone (even if he did have Mary); Sherlock had grew more sensitive and thoughtful towards John, but was still a smart arse to those like Sargent Donovan.

“So, where and when did it happen? The engagement and meeting her I mean?” John questioned curiously.

“Well....” He began...

“And from that I recoil, your value doesn't even amount to the juice squeezed from an old wh0re's soiled Tampon. Do me and yourself a huge favour: do a triple summersault through the air, and disappear up your own arse. Although it’s fairly obvious you’ve just arrived from there judging by the state of your rotten attitude.” Sherlock slammed his papers onto the desk where an infuriated woman with curly, thick red hair was stood opposing him; glaring and jutting her lips as a gesture of great disliking towards him.

“GET OUT MY OFFICE MR HOLMES. WE WON’T BE NEEDING YOUR SERVICE ANY LONGER” The woman screamed back.

“WITH PLEASURE MRS JONES, GIVE YOUR HUSBAND MY GREATEST SYMPATHY FROM ME; IT MUST BE A PAINFUL MARRIAGE TO DEAL WITH.” He retorts loudly with equal aggression.
