I don't know what to pray, and I feel like I don't even know how to pray anymore.
Did you know that God has our backs so far as to pray for us? The power of prayer is so strong that even the One to whom we pray is in the habit of praying. Romans 8:26-28 (MSG) says, "Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good."
The LORD doesn't hold it against us when we are at a loss for words. As you can see, He is right here, supporting us because he knows what this life does to us. The Word specifically says, "If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter"(emphasis added). Since it does not bother God, we should not feel ashamed. God answers every prayer- even His own.
