Deepining Wounds

                    The Cutting Artist

I am an artist

I take my knife

And draw on my thighs

I choose only one color

And that is red

Lines everywhere

Expressing my broken state

I am only drawing

But they call it "cutting"

I do it for my own sake

To make the pain end

But there is this voice in me

Telling me I deserve more
