Keith is walking from thee training deck to the bridge to cool off. He goes there a lot to look at the beautiful stars that remind him so much of home. As he walks in he is startled by the appearance of lance looking out into the starry abyss. "hey, what are you doing in here lance?" he asks.
"huh? oh! Keith! you are back early from training!" replied lance.
"you didn't answer my question."
"you would laugh if i told you."
"try me."
Lance blushed. "i have come here as often as i can to look at the stars. They remind me so much like home. I miss eveything back on earth keith. I long for things to go back to the way they were, when there was no danger that we had to defend from. I miss home." keith looked longingly into lance's eyes. "i miss home too buddy. But we are the paladins of voltron now! defenders of the universe! we can't stop now. But when all of this is said and done, i would KILL to go back home. I feel you buddy." lance looked down at his lap and sighed. "hey keith?"
"yeah lance?"
"can you stay here and watch the stars with me?"
"of course."
Keith sat down next to lance and they both stared out into the stars. Lance looked over at keith. "hey keith?" keith turned his head toward lance "yeah buddy?" he replied.
"you have always been there for me when i needed you most. Our rivalry grew into a bond that is unparalleled by anyone else. You mean so much to me. I just want to thank you by-" lance leaned over and kissed keith on the lips. Keith froze. "is this actually happening? Please let this be happening!" he thought to himself. Keith then put his arms around lance and embraced him and his loving kiss. To both of them, this was the best day of their lives.
