You look at her and you see a beautiful girl with a smile on her face.
What you see is a girl with style with all of the pieces of her clothing well coordinated to match everything including her makeup.
What you don't know is... that makeup is used to hide the bruise around her eye and the cuts on her lip.
Her clothes include long sleeve turtlenecks and skinny jeans with absolutely no holes to cover the scars on her body.
SHE'S BROKEN
The girl you see with a smile plastered on her face to show people around her that she is okay is screaming and crying on the inside. She is filled with doubt, second thoughts and anger.
Maybe I made him angry.
What did I do wrong this time?
I shouldn't have done that in the first place.
A girl trapped in pain and despair, completely shut out from the world. She doesn't know the difference between love and possessiveness.
No father or father figure around to show her the difference between the two.
Searching ever so desperately to find the attention that she's looking for but just can't seem to find it.
Dependant on others instead of building up on herself.
SHE'S BROKEN
He buys me things, he must love me.
He told me he wouldn't do it again.
He only did it because he was angry.
He just has a lot going on.
He bought me roses, he must be truly sorry.
He does it because he loves me.
She's afraid to ask for help, so she contradicts herself. Afraid to be alone.
I can't see myself without him.
SHE'S BROKEN
Her heart fragile, her mindset crippled, her life shattered.
Trying to find anyone to hold her up, even if it means being stepped on by the same person.
BROKEN
Beaten
Ruptured
Overwhelmed
Kicked down
Ensnared
Neglected
BROKEN
