The New Recruit's

The new recruited men are barely teachable and half of them are just young boys. Yet the captain didn't know is that there was a young boy who trained to be apart of his kings army his whole life. He practiced every day for an hour and every day he got better and then the day came for him to join his kings army. He was old enough, he was strong enough and was smart enough for his dream. The other recruit's were joking around and making fun of the captain was furious with them so the captain made them run an 30 mile run. Everyone was so tired they couldn't stand up. The recruit's were getting ready to quit but they knew they couldn't go back home saying they quit because they had to run 30 miles, they know the captain just wants their focus and respect so they stayed and got their rest. The next day they were in lots of pain. In pain or not they are going to have to go through training. Every day the soldiers were in pain but went through whatever they had to do. Then after a few months they were well trained warriors and the one boy was very excited for battle and was much better than he was when he started. He's more silent, he has more ideas and theories about killing men. For everybody  the day was the day they graduated from just recruit's to battle ready men. Everybody was proud of each other. Everyone was there to see them graduate and they walked up to the captain until, BOOM, the training camp was being attacked, and they had to protected the camp or there will be less men for the kings army. All the men grabbed a sword and shield and jumped into battle. The boy was enthusiastic for battle as he jumped in, then watched as men were getting gutted and decapitated. The boy was watching a mans head explode, he was so scared he killed no one and just ran and started to hide. A few hours later the battle ended and he came out and everybody was dead, no one was alive except him so he took his sword and scavenged for whatever money he could find. After looking for money he found a horse from one of the cavalry and then he went to an inn.
