I looked at my outfit once more in the mirror, fixing my mini skirt and grabbing money before making my way out the door. I walked till I got to 'The Max' to meet up with the gang, we just got report cards. I entered the max looking at the booths looking for my so called friends,
Jessie got all ''A's'' her parents bought her flowers.
Kelly got ''B's'' her parents bought her an ice cream.
l still haven't figured out what to buy my parents yet. Maybe a sweet letter reminding them what great parents they are or maybe do some chores.
But Lisa made honor roll, and you should see what her father gave her.
"Where's Lisa? l can't wait to see her new outfit." I say walking up the the booth my friends where at,
"Me too.
She's my reason for being." Screech said. I roll my eyes at the boy who's madly in love with my best friend
" I cannot believe her father gave her his credit card to go to the mall." Kelly said
"l know.
lt's like letting a vampire loose in a blood bank." Slater said
"Watch it, ''Dimples.
'' That's my fox you're talking about." Screech said defending 'his girl'
"Screech, she's not your fox.
Why don't you just find another chick?" Slated said reminding the curly haired boy Lisa wasn't his "Whoa! May l remind you both that we are girls? We are not ''foxes,'' not ''chicks,'' nor any other cute little animal you boys like." Jessie said looking back at Zack and Slated
"Do you understand? " "Sure, Kitten." Slater teased.
'' Food's here.
Compliments of my new magic serving cart." Max said walking up to our table,
"So where's the magic, Max?" Zack said with an adorable smile, god that smile is so cute. I've liked Zack since 8th grade, but he's been madly in love with one of my best friends Kelly Kapowski. "Oh, it's voilà! " Max said revealing Lisa as she climbed out the cart, in a brand new outfit. "How do you like it?" Lisa asked "I love it, but didn't your father say to just buy something nice?" Jessie said "l couldn't help myself.
l caught such great sales.
All my clothes were half-off." Lisa argued
''Half-off''? l can't take this tension." Screech said leaning back in the seat.
"Lisa, l think you better total up everything you bought right now." I said
"Really? l have a calculator on my watch.
You can use it if you hold my wrist." Screech said running towards the girl in the new outfit
"Screech, heel." Lisa said
Where are the receipts?" Jessie asked "Here." Lisa said giving them her.
"$62 for the top, $1 26 for the jacket and shorts, and $198 for the boots, purse and ''Maneater'' perfume? " Jessie went on "Come on, what's the total?" Jessie asked screech "$386." Screech replied
"$386? You think l went overboard?" Lisa asked worryingly "Like the crew of the Titanic." Zack said, I giggled but soon stopped once I saw the glare Lisa was giving me.
"This is serious." Jessie said referring to Zack and I,
"Lisa, when your father finds out, you are going to get in trouble." I said
"Oh come on." Lisa argued
"I'm ''Daddy's little girl." She said not working at all
'' lf you want to live to be ''Daddy's big girl, '' take the stuff back." Slater said
"Lisa, l think you should keep one thing and return the rest." Kelly suggested
"Maybe you're right.
l have to go back to the mall anyway.
They're having a big shoe sale." Lisa said not really caring about the situation

I had just gotten home from "The Max when Jessie called me saying to get to Lisa's house ASAP, I fixed my hair and ran out the door. Once I got there I saw Lisa getting out a suite case, "what are you doing" I asked but before they could answer Zack barged through the door,
"l got here as soon as l could.
What's going on?" Zack said confused on why Lisa was getting close out her closet. "Lisa's running away-- the store wouldn't let her return her clothes." Jessie said feeling sorry for Lisa.
"Oh." Zack said
"Lisa, running away isn't the answer." I said
"Do what l do when l do something wrong." Zack suggested
"What's that?" Lisa asked looking for hope, "Enjoy it, then deny it." Zack said shrugging i let out a grin at the funny statement. That what I love about Zack he can always make things funny and he's a great guy.
"Lisa, when you do something wrong, you should admit it." Jessie said trying to help Lisa make the right choice.
"What do you do, Kelly?" Lisa asked "Well, gee.
l can't remember doing anything wrong." Kelly answered truthfully
"Oh, shut up! l'm sorry.
l'm just upset." Lisa said putting her head down. "What about you Cher?" Lisa asked "well as most people say Imma Ditz with a credit card" I say annoyed, I'm a whole lot than just that.By the looks of Lisa's face I wasn't helping so I quickly said,
"Lisa, no matter what l've done, l've always been direct and honest with my father." I say after my statement.
"I'm with Cher" Jessie agreed.
"The truth is easiest, and it works.
But l can't tell my father." Lisa said
"Then why don't you tell your mother and pay her to keep quiet? " Zack suggested "Pay her with what?" Lisa asked as if it was the most dumbest thing ever said "Put it on the card.
Why stop now?" Zack said with a cocky smile, I shove Zack's shoulder and look at him with a 'not helping' look. "Lisa, why can't you tell your father?" I said "Because l don't know how he'll react." Lisa answered as if she was terrified of even thinking of what her father would say.
"He's going to kill me.
l know it." Lisa said getting up
"Don't panic.
All you have to do is pay your father back." I said
"Yeah, but where am l going to get the money? " Lisa asked "Ask for a $400 advance on your allowance." Zack said not helping at all. "Again with the not helping" I say rolling eyes at Zack then following up my statement with a better plan "Why don't you try to earn the money?" I say "Earn money? Moi? This sounds like a job for ''Zackman." Zack said ripping his shirt to reveal a t shirt with the letter 'Z' in yellow. Us girls giggles at Zack's silly action.

'' Do you really think we're going to make a lot of money today?" Lisa asked Zack and I "We're going to be raking it in all day." Zack said
"Starting now." I added
"How?" Lisa asked "Lisa, sit down, look pretty and trust me." I said trying to let her relax
"Hey guys come on, crowd around, crowd around."  The teacher said getting everyone's attention,
*school bell rings*
"Okay, settle down.
Good morning, class."
"Good morning." the class said in reply
"Resume where we left off yesterday.
You all know the chapter." The teacher started when she was interrupted by a student asking a question.
"You mean ''Reproduction in the Animal Kingdom''?" He asked "Well, l prefer to call it, ''Monkey Business in the Jungle." The teacher said
'' l read the chapter last night, but l'm still not clear who does what to whom and how." Someone asked
"Yeah, and how come birds aren't attracted to horses?" Skater asked "Oh, but they are.
Unfortunately there just isn't enough room in the nest." the teacher said laughing to herself then continuing
"Today's topic is, ''The Pond: Nature's Hot Tub.
'' Could you write on the board again, your list - of ''Pond Playmates of the Month''? - All right, we'll start with the Beatles, then throw in some Rolling Stones."
"Does anyone know the sound the male frog makes to attract the female" the teacher asked as Zack and I got handed 2 bucks from the boy that wanted to kiss Lisa. The boy went up behind her when the teacher wasn't looking and kissed Lisa right on the check causing her to let out a shrieks. "No, that's the little boy porcupine getting too close to his mate.
The male frog goes ( croaks ) Ribbit-- ribbit-- ribbit.
That's merely his way of saying, ''Your pad or mine?'' lnsect love on the other hand, can be very, very dangerous.
An unwelcome suitor is often driven off by terrifying threats." The teacher said continuing her lesson.
"Get away, creeps!" Lisa said as two boys kissed her cheeks "Oh no.
Much worse than that." The teacher said not know what was going on behind her back.
"Like-- ( screeching ) Try it, try it.
( all screeching ) Good, very good.
Excellent.

You really have it."  The teacher said as us students repeated the sound that came out her mouth. "Good morning, students.
This is your principal, Mr.
Belding." The speaker said as we all groan "Thank you" mr bending said
"l want to remind you, our charity drive will continue all week.
So please put all clothing and canned goods in the gym, and not on top of my car, no matter what Zack Morris says." The principle said, causing me to look over at Zack who was sitting next to me and he sent me a smirk and wink, causing me to blush.
I laugh "-also time for our annual Earthquake Drill.
Yes, when that siren sounds, get down, 'cause there'll be-- * A whole lot of shakin' goin' on."
Belding says laughing *siren wails* "All right, everybody, climb under your tables, like burrowing badgers." The teacher said as we all got under our tables
"Hey Lisa, l thought you wanted to kiss your debt goodbye." Zack asked Lisa who was across from our table.
"Not with my lips.
l feel so-- so cheap." Lisa said
"Lisa, you're not cheap.
You made $36." I said holding up the $36 we made. Zack looked back at me and smiled I looked down and blushed. I've never done this before sure I've had a tiny crush on Zack since the 8th grade, but nobody knows I barley even think I like him. Sure he's cute but I don't wanna ruin our friendship, I've never made my crush of Zack obvious. I mean Zack's winked and smiled at me since the first grade so why am I reacting like this now?my thoughts were interrupted when Zack put an arm around me looking down at me and winking, it's like he knew the affect he had on me.

"So l just have to press this button to open them? That's all." Zack explained to me
" I wired everything." Screech explained
"Are you sure l have nothing to worry about?"!Zack asked Screech with me standing at his side, "You might lose your hair when you're older." Screech said serious
"l mean now
How about now, you yo-yo?" Zack said frustrated "You're too young to lose it now, dipstick!" Screech said back, god I wonder if Screech hit his head to hard when he was younger. "Zack, do we really have to do this" Lisa asked not wanting to sell her clothes. "Lisa, we only have two-and-a-half days left.
lf you want to raise money, you'll have to sell your clothes." I said
"All right, you guys know what to do." Zack said,
"Don't worry about it, ''Preppie.
'' We'll take care of Belding." Slater said assuring us.
"All right everybody, the ''Lisa Special Sale'' is about to begin." I screamed at the people in The hall,
"Okay, what am l bid for this lovely lingerie? Worn by Lisa while dreaming of Screech." Zack said wiggling the set I front of screeched face.
"My entire life savings!" Screech said shoving the money at me. " Sold! lt's only two dollars." Zack said
"Two dollars? That cost 20!" Lisa argued "lt will lie next to me every night in my bed." Screech said rubbing the lingerie on his face.
"l thought you slept with your dog." Lisa said to Screech
"He won't mind." Screech answered
"Okay, how much am l bid for these cowboy boots? Almost brand new.
Worn only once by Lisa while she was watching a rodeo on TV." Zack said showing off the boots
"Six dollars." A girl said coming up to us.
"Sold! How much am l bid for the left one?" Zack said "Four dollars." Another girl called
"You got it! That's what l call a ''matching pair." Zack said proudly of his work,
'' Okay, how much am l bid for this wig? Worn by Lisa during her ''Tina Turner'' phase." Zack called
"Four dollars! " called some boy in the hall, "Sold to Rocco.
No questions asked." I said giving the wig to the boy with a strange face.
"Hey, Belding is coming" slater said
"Closing them!" I called as Zack pressed a button that closed all the lockers. "Hi, Mr.
Belding." Zack and I said at the same time
"Hello, Morris, Horowitz " Mr. Belding said
"He's on to us, Zack." I whispered
"l know it, we're dead!" Screech said nervously. "Hi, Screech." Mr belding said passing us.
"Hello, goodbye.
Let's do lunch." Screech said
"Hmm." Mr Belding said walking away
"Let the sale resume!" Zack called opening the lockers . "Belding! He's ba-ack!" Screech said "Closing them!" I yelled "Are you hiding something, Zachary, Cher?" "Us?"Zack said  "Uh-huh." the principle answered
"Mr.
Belding, sir.
l need your opinion.
l was wondering, what do you think of this?" Slater came in with one of Lisa's tank tops "lt's all right, l guess.
ls it for your girlfriend?" Mr Belding asked "No, sir.
lt's for me.
l'd like to wear it to school tomorrow." Slater said trying to get Zack and I off the hook.
"Come into my office, young lady-- Slater.
Now." Mr Belding said taking skater into his office as Zack and I continued the selling.
"Ok just put this on" Zack said pushing the swim suit at me. I left to the bathroom to change and put on the swim suit, soon I slipped it on and walked out to the school stairs.
"Attention shoppers, for two minutes only, ''The Lisa Beach Collection,'' what the well-dressed teenager will be wearing this summer.
Screech, hit it." Zack said gesturing Screech to play music
( music plays ) "And now for the beautiful and enchanting Cher, ''Goddess of the Sand.
'' Zack said as I waked down the stairs modeling, as I walked down I resealed whistles and hollering from boys. "Oh my gosh, she's in a bathing suit! The bidding is open.
The bidding is closed.
Sold to me for $1 2.
Thank you, Cher .
Go get dressed.
Stay away from these animals." Zack said covering me with his body as the hormonal teenagers stared at me with heart eyes.
I left and changed into my normal clothes and walked back out and stood next to Zack, "god can't believe such hormonal teenagers can't you believe that, they were looking at you like a piece of meat" Zack ranted I blushed looking down.
"Wait! What's going on here?" Belding interrupted" Oh, we're just standing around doing macho guy stuff next to a bunch of women's clothes." Zack covered
"Who's are these, anyway?" Belding asked"Uh Lisa's sir"I answered truthfully
"l helped her bring them to school today." Zack answered going along with me.
"Yeah, Lisa needs to get rid of them."  I said
"This is the most generous act l've ever witnessed at this school.
lmagine one person donating all this to our clothing drive." Mr belding said patting Zack and I on the back
"But, sir!" Zack tried to say but got cut off. "And you of all people helping her.
- l'm getting chills, brother." Mr belding said in Awe
"l'm getting sweats" Zack said panicky
"You know what? Lisa has done enough.
Let's all take this to the gym for her, huh?" Mr belding said.

We only made $53 selling Lisa's clothes, so she had to do the most humiliating, insulting, degrading thing possible for her-- get a job! How's she doing? Let me put it another way-- if Lisa were a car, she'd be recalled.
"So, did you get more tips?" I asked Lisa as she walked up to our booth in a uniform.
"Yeah, l got a tip.
Alan Seltzer told me to get another job." Lisa complained
"Waitress, can l have a glass of water?" Lisa snapped at the boy who asked for water "Get it yourself!" Lisa sassed "Lisa, you're a waitress.
You have to wait on people." Zack stated
"Zack, he just wants to soak his retainer." Lisa said
"Waitress!" Another boy called "How can l work with all these people bothering me?" Lisa sighed "So what's the total?" "Well, so far Lisa's earned $3.
10 in tips." I said simply.
"Who gave you the 10*?" Kelly asked "Waitress!" the Screech called "What is it?" Lisa yelled "Would you bring me a hamburger?" He said "l already brought you 10." Lisa said confused on why so many hamburgers.
"l want to give you business.
l like you." Screech said sweetly. Awe.
"Thank you." Lisa replied
"Waitress!"
"Where's my Ovaltine?"
"Miss, this isn't what l ordered.
You were supposed to toast my buns." customers complained.
"You want toasted buns? Go sit on a microwave! That's it! l've had it!" Lisa said frustrated "Hey, hey, what's wrong?" I said rushing to her side, giving her a side hug. "l'll never make any money at this rate." Lisa said sadly,
"Well then, you've got to move faster.
Look, the more people you wait on, the more tips you get, right? Come on Lisa.
l'll show you.
l used to be a busboy in Bolivia." Slater said helping out in the situation.
"Hey, l'm not done." a boy said as Slated graves his food throwing his food away.
"Yes you are." Slater threatened
"Right, l forgot." The boy said afraid of Slater
"Hey, what are you doing?" another boy exclaimed "Hey, it's fast food." Slated said
"Here's your check."
"Hey, come on you guys.
Come on, move it."
"$37 in tips in three hours? Whoo! l can't believe it!" Lisa said excitingly
"Lisa, that's great." Kelly said
"You only need about 230 more." I said
"We're a great team." Zack said pulling me into a side hug, making me blush and hide my face earning a chuckle from him.
"You know, we might make it after all." Lisa said with hope
"Yeah, maybe." Jessie said smiling
"l mean if l keep working, and if Zack and Cher  sells more of my clothes." Lisa said before Zack and I interrupted her.
"Uh Lisa? Can we talk?" Zack said interrupting her " Over there?" I added pointing to another table "Yeah, sure." Lisa said following Zack and I to the table.
"Lisa, all your clothes are gone." Zack said cringing at what her reaction would be.
-"Gone? That's great!" Lisa said thinking we sold them all. "Not really.
Belding thought you brought them in for the charity drive." I said scared of what her reaction would be.
"He was so touched by your donation, l couldn't tell him the truth." Zack added
Lisa started giggling "l'm a fool, Zack." Lisa said sad
"No, l am." Zack said trying to make her feel better.
"Look, l'm sorry, Lisa.
l'll tell Belding it was my fault and get your stuff back." I said getting up
"No, Cher.
l want to make that donation.
lt's about time l start thinking of someone besides myself.
And l'm going to tell my father the truth." Lisa said getting up and hugging me,
"Now Lisa, don't panic." Zack said getting up as well
"Zack, if my father finds out what l've done before l tell him, he's going to be really hurt." Lisa said truthfully.
"Then maybe you'd better tell your father.
l see this is hurting you, too." I said patting her back,
"l want to thank you for all you've done.
l'm really grateful for everything you tried to do." Lisa said to Zack and I and the gang.
"But l've got to stand on my own two feet now.
And it's not going to be easy with all my shoes gone." Lisa said pointing to her shoes. We al laughed and cleaned up, I was about to walk out 'the max' when I heard my names called. "Hey Cher wait up" I head I turned around to see Zack running to catch up with me. "Yeah" I said stopping in front of the door, "I just wanna thank you for helping me help Lisa" he said smiling "no problem it's the least I could do for Lisa" I said returning the smile. "Also wanted to see if maybe you wanted to hang out maybe you know like old times" Zack said rubbing the back of his neck, "yeah sure" I said casually even tho inside I was freaking OuT. "Yeah ok I'll come over to yours later" Zack said smiling and running off "yeah ok" I said as I watched Zack excitingly run down the sidewalk.

"Come in" I called out, I was currently laying in bed working on algebra homework. "Hey" Zack said softly as he closed the door, "hey what's up" I said getting up from my bed to sit down on the edge. "Come to see you like I said" Zack said sitting on my bed, "oh ok so what do you wanna do?" I asked nervously, Zack and I haven't been alone in my room since the 6th grade when I helped him with homework. But everything was different in 6th grade, I didn't think of boys as much, and I didn't have a crush on Zack. "Whatever's fine its your house!" Zack said putting his hands behind his head and lying down on the bed. " ok wanna watch a movie?" I asked getting up watching the boy I liked laying on my bed, "yeah sure sounds fun" Zack said staying in the position he was in. I walked to my VCR and looked for a movie ," what movie" I asked "what are the options?" He asked looking my ceiling. "Well there's the breakfast club, the goonies, 16 candles, stand by me, dirty dancing, oh um how about the outsiders!" I said pulling out the outsiders "yeah sure I haven't seen t yet" Zack said "WHAT" I said "never really seemed interesting" Zack said rolling his eyes I scoff putting in the movie in the VCR. I climbed back to the bed putting the covers over my body leaning on the head board Zack following my actions, we were on different sides of the bed keeping our distance. "I don't see what girls see in Rob Lowe" Zack said out of no where "excuse me, Rob Lowe is gorgeous" I said "I'm betting looking" Zack said with his famous smirk I looked over at him and was gonna shove his shoulder when he grabbed my wrist and pulling me into him. I get out a small yell from being startled, he put his arm around my shoulder as I was just there shocked at his actions. "Relax" he whispered in my ear earning goosebumps from his warm breath, I heard him chuckle at my actions. I soon relax and snuggle into his chest, soon putting my arm around his waist and my head in his chest. He was leaned against the headboard with his arms around me, I could barely focus on the movie thinking of how many nights I've stayed up thinking of this moment in my head. I soon drifted to sleep until I felt someone shaking me lightly "Cher" I heard someone whisper. I slowly got up looking at Zack who still had an arm around me, I blushed looking down. Zack then put two fingers under my chin lifting my head looking me right in the eye, "I just got a good idea" Zack said his eyes shinning in the dark room with only the TV shining bright. "Yeah what is it?" I said softly "so I was thinking, I still feel really bad about Lisa's clothes so why don't we help out on the money, you know what I mean?" Zack said getting out his wallet filled with a couple bucks. "That's a great idea!" I said getting up "let's go over to her house" I said getting my shoes. I grabbed a box that was under my bed "What's that" Zack asked looking at box in my hands. I opened it revealing the $300, "woah" Zack said in awe. I grabbed the money and was about to get up when Zack stopped me "I don't think all that money is necessary" he said "your right" I said putting 200 back. "Are you sure that's still a lot of money?" Zack said looking at me like I was crazy, "Zack she's my best friend, money doesn't compare to her" I said truthfully. "I'm sure she'll appreciate it babe." Zack said sending me a wink causing me to blush at the name 'babe' Zack laughed and grabbed me by the shoulders as we walk out the door, making our way to Lisa's house.

As we got to Lisa's door we knocked revealing Lisa's mom "hello Cher, Zack" she greeted "hello mrs.turtle, is Lisa home" I asked politely "yes she's upstairs in her room" she said opening the door wider and letting us in "thank you mam" I said pulling Zack by the hand up to Lisa's room. Once we got there I slowly knocked,
"Come in." I heard Lisa call Zack opened the door signaling me to walk in I whisper a small "thanks"
"Excuse me, Dr.
Turtle.
We came by to give this to Lisa." Zack said as I gave him my hundred dollars and him putting them with his $83
"What is it?" Lisa asked
"$183." Zack said handing the money to Lisa
"We both chipped in." Zack said "we even called called screech" I said
"Screech even sold his body to science." Zack said thinking back to our phone call with our friends about our plan.
"Yeah, they gave him $20 to take it back." I said laughing
"You have some loyal friends.
You are a very lucky girl." Lisa's father said to her.
"Thanks, you guys, you're great.
But l can't take this.
l've got to earn back the money myself, or he'll ship me to a foreign country." Lisa said
"it'll never happen.
No foreign country could afford her." Lisa's father chuckled,
we all laughed as Lisa's dad soon left leaving Lisa, Zack and I. "Thanks guys, really you two are really good friends." Lisa said pulling Zack and I into a hug, "hey thank Zack it was his idea" I said smiling over at Zack "you two were together before coming here?" Lisa said smirking "yeah we were watching a movie" I said not thinking anything of it. "Mmhhh" Lisa said suspicious "not like that you yoyo" Zack exclaimed, wouldn't have not been like that if I were Kelly I thought to myself. "Anyways I better get going my moms probably worried" Zack said but before leaving he gave Lisa a quick hug then he hugged me and said " I had a great time today, let's do it again" "of course Morris" I said hugging back. We were both interrupted when Lisa coughed breaking us apart "right goodnight ladies" Zack said before leaving. Only leaving Lisa and I in the room, "so you and Zack?" Lisa said wiggling her eyebrows, "pfftt, yeah right" I said blushing and looking down. "You so like him" Lisa screamed excitingly "WHAT, No way" I said quickly, "oh my god you so like Zack" Lisa said jumping up and down. I stayed quite "how long!!" Lisa asked "eighth grade" I said sighing "oh my god why didn't you ever tell me?" Lisa said still excited "this is why" I said rolling my eyes. "Plus he likes Kelly" I said "I doubt he thought of her all night" Lisa said putting her arm around me. "I doubt he ever stops thinking of her" I said sighing, "I bet he's thinking of you right now" Lisa said rubbing my shoulders "please, anyways I have to get going" I said getting up "ok goodnight Cher" Lisa said waving at me "goodnight" I said leaving her house. As I walked home I couldn't stop thinking of Zack is he really thinking of me? I doubt it, I mean he's in love with Kelly he's even said it. I'm trash compared to Kelly Kapowski, I mean she's popular gets all the boys, what boy wouldn't like her. Well there goes my secret.
