Firefighter in Love

Victor's POV:

I wake up, noticing that my best friend Chris is picking me up in 10 minutes to work. Shit, not again! But I couldn't stop watching the second season of Dexter, so I got in bed late. I quickly run to the bathroom, doing my routine and changing into a new outfit. Good thing I prepared something to eat for breakfast yesterday. "Hey bitch, I'm here, get your ass down here.", Chris writes me. I pack my breakfast into my backpack and run out of my apartment. "Good morning, gay bestie." "Suck my ass, good morning. Got in bed late, because of Dexter?", he chuckles. He knows me to good. "You're right. How are things with your boyfriend?", I ask him. "Good good. Do you have have someone in mind?" "No, everybody I had gone on a date with were just not right for me. Hopefully my special someone will come soon." It's been three years since I had a relationship. He looks at me worried. "He will come soon, I promise" After a few minutes we arrive at the fire department, were both us work. "Good morning", I greet my colleagues. They greet back and went back to work. "Hey Victor, any boyfriend to introduce to us?", Mila asks curiously. "No Mila, I don't so why don't you just go back to work?", I snap at her. Everbody seems shocked at my sudden outburst, because normaly I'm not that kind of person. "Sorry Mila, I have a bad day.", I apologize to her. "Don't worry about it. He will come soon." I hate the "he will come soon" speech. They just say it, because they don't know what else to say. Suddenly the alarm goes off. "There's a fire at the onsen of Hasetsu. Today's people come now to the fire engine.", our boss says. Chris, me and other three people run to the fire engine and drive off. After a few short minutes, we already see the fire at the onsen. We see three people standing outside the onsen, crying. Suddenly the women runs to me "My boy is still in there, please save him.", she screams with tears streaming down her face. I nod. "Boss, got informed that there is still a victim inside, I'm going to save him." "Be careful", he says to me. He hands me a mask for the boy, I hopefully can save. I enter the building and begin searching for him. "Hey, is there anybody in here?", I scream. After a few seconds I get a knock. He should be there! I run to where I heard the noise and found the boy laying on the ground. I give him the mask and carry him to outside of the onsen. "YUURI MY BOY, THANK GOD. Mister what's your name?", the mother asks me with relief, that her son is safe. "My name is Victor Nikiforov. I'm happy that I saved your son." I look at the face of the boy. He's so beautiful! Stop it Victor, he's home just got burned! "The paramedics are on their way.", I inform her. My colleagues meanwhile got rid off the fire. The paramedics arrive and take the whole family to the hospital.

~A few days later~

I think about the beautiful boy and Chris noticed my behaviour. "Do you have a crush or something?", he asks with a smile. "I just can't thinking about the boy I saved the other day. Maybe I can meet him soon.", I say dreamily. Suddenly the door opens and the woman and the boy I saved from the fire are here. "What can we do for you?", I ask them, not taking my eyes away from the boy. He notices my starring and blushes. "Mister Nikiforov, we would like to thank you for saving our son and would like to invite you to have dinner at our onsen." Fortunately the fire was not so bad, so they could fix it in the last few days. "You don't have to do that. I just did what everbody would do", I say embarrassed. "Please, you saved my precious son. Do you have time on saturday at 7 p.m?", she asks. "Yeah, thank you for your invitation." Then they both left. "Get him tiger", Chris says. I elbow him in the stomach for the remark, but I'm very happy.

~Saturday~

I'm so nervous, but I already knocked on the door. "Hello Victor, please come in." I go to the room, where the whole family was sitting. "Oh my, we haven't even introduced ourselves. My name is Hiroko Katsuki." She points at the older man "This is my husband Toshiya." Then she points at the other women "This is my older daughter Mari" For the most important, she pointed at the beautiful boy sitting shyly in his chair. "This is my son, Yuuri, who you saved out of the fire." "How could I forget a beautiful face like his?", I say before I think. Everbody's eyes are on me. Oh shit! The boy blushes. "Oh my, seems like the handsome man is also interested in you, now doesn't he?", she says to Yuuri. We both began to blush more. The diner went well after that. "Again, thank you for what you have done." "No need to thank me, I just did my work." "Hey Yuuri, why won't you show the door to Victor?", she says with a grin. After a few silent minutes, I take all the courage I have in me and ask him "I know this seems sudden, but would you like to go on a date with me?" He seems to be shocked. "Ähm-ähm sure." I hug him, because I'm just to happy that he agreed.

~Few years later~

Today is the most important day of my whole life. Today I will marry the love of my life Yuuri Katsuki. I stand at the altar. My hands begin to shake and my heart pumps and pumps, so much that I'm worried everbody will hear. Then the music starts to play. There he is, looking so gorgeous with his white suit. He seems to be crying a bit. I take his hand an face the women, who will hold the ceremony. "Today we have gathered to be part of the wedding between Mister Nikiforov and Mister Katsuki." After a while, we get to say our vows. "Yuuri,  for the rest of my life I promise to love you, protect you, make you happy and be faithful to you and only you. You make me so happy. I don't know what I did to deserve such a warm-hearted person like you. With this ring, I promise to stay by your side until death seperates us." "Victor, we are soulmates. You understand me like no one else can. You made my life so much better.", he starts to cry," With this ring, I promise to stay by your side until death seperates us." "If no one has anything against this wedding, I shall announce you husband and husband" We both share a kiss and everbody claps as we walk outside of the church.
