I've loved swimming. Ever since I was a child, having to wear a life jacket. Actually, my whole family loved to swim. With blonde hair and blue eyes and a tan, all six of us, we looked like we belonged at a beach. We have been told that several times actually. So we moved to the beach, when I was ten.

Mom and dad opened a surf shop, right there on the beach. My three siblings and I found a swim club and joined it. I worked the hardest. Eventually, my younger sister grew bored of swimming and quit. Then, my younger brother quit. Soon, it was just me swimming.

The surf shop soon began to struggle with our completion. With the competition growing stronger, our surf shop grew weaker. We couldn't live on our profits anymore, we barely had any. Will, my older brother, had to find a job. I wasn't old enough to get one, being fourteen.

Then news came out. We had to move. Rent was going up, business was going down, and Will's job wasn't helping anymore. So we moved.

I expected to move to another city in Florida, but then my parents gave the news we were moving to South Carolina to be closer to my grandparents. The same grandparents who didn't support our swimming. Great.

This is now. I'm fifteen, and I have to move to another freaking state. I sigh as I pack up my favorite photo of our family into a box. My phone rings on my nightstand and I answer it.

"You can't leave me!"My best friend sobs on the phone. I roll my eyes at her dramatic self.

"Ash,"I pick something off the floor as I speak to her. "I have to, I'm sorry. I'm gonna miss you."

"I'm gonna miss you too. And your hot brother."I can basically hear her pout over the phone.

"I'm not gonna miss you fawn over my brother. Trust me, he's gross. How have you not seen it? His grossness?"I question.

"He's not gross!"Ash defends. I roll my eyes again.

"Right. Anyways, I got to go. Bye Ash!"I say in a hurry and hang up. I love her to death, but not her obsession with my brother. I decide that I'm going to take a break and go downstairs to see that everybody is already down there.

"Hi guys. What's going on?"I question as I sit at the table. Mom and dad glance at each other nervously.

"Well,"Mom takes a drink of her coffee. "You know how we had a deal for a house?"

"We lost the deal. The guy found a couple who would pay more for the house. We can't all fit at gram and gramps house so Will and Natalie you have to stay with mom at her friends house while Kate and Carson stay at gram and gramps with me."Dad blurts out. Mom slaps his arm and he hisses.

I was stunned. How do you loose a deal on a house? That's not fair. Now, we have to split up our family. At least I don't have to stay at gram and gramps.

"Can I talk to Will and Natalie alone?"Mom asks and the others leave the room.

"Look, Will, my friend has a son your age, so you'll be sharing a room with him. And Natalie, you're going to be staying in the guest room by yourself while I'm sharing a room with my friend." Mom explains.

"Why do I have to share a room and Natalie doesn't?"Will complains. Mom glares at him and he shuts up immediately. I leave the room and go back to my room.

Life sucks.
