This is my first book I ever made and I hope with all my heart you will like it.
This is an original book. It is not an Ariel story. I can assure you. ;)

🔱Chapter 1👑

My eyes are at 3 o'clock staring over the long table, dreaming about the feeling of the sea water touching my body.
"Ýera, hello... world to Ýera!" my mother's voice called through my head.
Two seconds later I look into two blue eyes.
"Sorry, mother. I was..." "You where dreaming I know." The way my mother said these words was soft and gave me a warm feeling. She knows the most of my feelings, but some of them are still a secret for her.
It is the start of the 22th century. For my parents it is custom that I get married on my 19th birthday. I really disagree with this rule, but I can't stop it because it's a family tradition. However it is a old tradition my parents agreed on.
The happy part of it, is that I still have 1 and a half years to go.

"Mother can I go," I sad with puppy eyes. "Allright you can go."
I walked at first at a slow paste, but when I left the dinningroom with a sprint.
Our palace is near the sea. On the other side you see high and sharp moutains.
Me and my parents love the sea and when I was young, we were sitting on the sand looking to the ocean.
However, when I was young, I believed in farytales but sometimes I still do. In one farytales I know for a certain that it is true because that is where my biggest secret goes about.
That mermaids exist.

I walk outside and come in a part of the palace that is close to the sea. I take off my pants and shirt, as preparation for a swim.
Suddenly I see something moving into the waters and I almost started to scream.
A splash water splashed into my face.
"Hey you! Stop it!" I say with rubbing the water of my face.
"Oh... sorry your highness. Was that bad for you?"
When the sea water is almost out of my eyes I see a pink mermaid tale before me. When I look higher I see my best friend. She has brown hair till her shoulders and her big green eyes staring laughing at me. Smiling to her I give her mermaid tale a little kick.
"Au! Now you are going to far, Princess," Tara says and she grabs my foot and pulls me into the water.
We both laughing out loud.
Suddenly a man voice says loud: "who is there"
We both stop laughing and listen where the voice comes from.

"Come we must go, otherwise he sees us," Tara says she's a little bit afraid. I nod and grab soon my clothes together and hide it behind a rock. With still my head above water I say the special sentence and my legs transform into a light-pink and white mermaid tale.
Hearing the voice of the man comming closer and closer I dive into the water, followed by Tara.
The water feels comfortable and smooth on my body.

Together with Tara we swim deeper and deeper into the sea.
"Where is Cody, actually?" I asked curiously. "He is waiting on our secret place."
I smile at her. "I am sorry that you haven't seen me for a week but my aunt came over and if she's in my home you can't escape from her.
Tara laughed. "I wish that I could see your face when you tried to escape.
"Of course you will," and my eyes are turning.

I feel myself swimming like a smoot fish into the water. In human transformation, the water feels cold, but as a mermaid it feel more free and warmer.
Fishs and other sea animals swim away when you are a human but when I am a mermaid they don't. Usually they actually don't swim away when I swim alone in the sea or ocean, only when I'm with others. Not meaning with my sea friends but with humans. I think why they don't swim away. Maybe knowing my face or smell. Now you think I am crazy but I'm not. We have a smell. Even fish, mermaids, dolphins, sharks and more...

When we arrive to our secret place a lot of memories come back. We found this place when I was 6 years old. That year I found out how I could transform into a mermaid. I was of course scared that day and swom to this place. A place in nowhere. A ship hidding between three big rocks. The half of the ship is laying into the shadows while the other half, where the sun can reach, can you see the only of the part of the ship. A perfect hide and secret place. That same day I was all alone I found my best friends. I always felt different on land than into the waters and with them around me, I don't miss the land at all. Since than I go every week more than 3 days into the sea, finding my best friends.

"Sea on Ýera!" A voice called me somewhere.
"Sea on Ýera!" Tara ticked on my shoulder and I am back.
"Dreaming is really your thing," said Tara wisely. "You know me as the best," I say and we swim to the hidding ship between the three rocks.
A feeling of happiness and joy overthrows me and I swim as fast as I could to the ship.
