"This is unbelievably boring". Sonic thought to himself while he lazily laid in his hammock just outside his porch, shaded by a palm tree.
"With that Egghead packing, ha, well as if we have never done. I wonder if I went too far?"
It has been at least three weeks since Eggman attempted his last attack on the island.
"Hmm, I hope I haven't gotten a kink for thrashing Egghead all this time, ugh". A scary thought Sonic did think.
Unlike Sonic's friends who were actually enjoying their free time they final deserved from Eggman's ambushes on the island and themselves, Sonic was being wrapped around in his weariness. It's not that he had nothing to do per se, rather he had felt no enjoyment in doing anything he did love.
"Oh great, there goes that wild radio again".
The clock radio that was placed on top of a bar stool next to Sonic's hammock had turned itself on. Sonic was about to reach with a shiftless movement to his radio and push it off the stool hoping the batteries would fall out but quickly stopped as a song started to play.

"That was our number one, Sweet Dreams by Dreams Come True..." The radio host announced.
Sonic put his hands behind his head and went into a deep thought while looking at the gorgeous blue sky.
"That song sure makes my heart beat quickly as if I was nervous. Why do I keep having this vague memory when I hear this song?"
"It is like I'm having some deja vu".
"As if I've lived another life elsewhere".
The memory sonic was having was blurred but also somewhat transparent. Just as looking through a frosted glass window.
"Why do I think of a human, all I remember she or whoever was sweet and nice..."
"Ha well Egghead is the only human I'm accustomed to around here, sure does make the island more boring tho".
"Well then."
Sonic said out loud as he jumped out of his hammock.
"I guess I could go bug everyone else".
Sonic snatched away the clock radio from the bar stool and dashed over to Tails' workshop.
"TAILS"! "My dude how are -"
"Ahh geez, Sonic"! Tails abruptly interrupted Sonic.
"This must be the thousandth time that I've told you not to come blazing into here".
Sonic quickly looked around at all the papers and blueprints he scattered everyone.
"Oh sorry bud, I got this".
Sonic ran in a circle to collect the various papers, only to create even more of a mess by spreading more of the papers that were carried by his breeze. Tails' right eye twitched a little.
"Oh just never mind about it Sonic, I was just about to stop for lunch anyway, anything on your mind?"
"Actually too much, I can't explain how bored am I tho"
"Haha, let me guess. No Eggman no fun"?
"Er well, yes, how..."
"I know you too well".
Tails went over to a mini fridge and brought out lychee juice and suggested they sit at the worktable.
"Yeah, so just board out of my mind, oh and this thing won't stop turning itself on and off".
"I can most certainly look at that radio later". Tails responded as he glanced at Sonic's radio.
"Let's go the village to eat." Tails suggested. "It will be good to hang out and just chill around town".
"You're probably right Tails". Sonic smiled and agreed thinking they would go do something fun.
Sonic turned around to the exit when he noticed a pinned up picture of Zoey, Tails' girlfriend on his notice board.
"Hmm, Tails". Sonic said looking deeply at the notice board; back turned to Tails. "How's that girlfriend of yours, err I mean, you and her getting along'.
"Oh well, what to say?" Tails said blushing a tad. "Well, she's so sweet, attentive and caring". Tails said as he started to look 1000 miles away but quickly shook his head out of it.
"Zoey for me is someone who always listens. It's a nice and caring feeling having. Well not better than a best friend but you can drown your worries away with a lover". Tails smiled looking up at the skyline of his workshop.
"Wow Tails, that's so enlightening. I've had little clue, I kinda want to know that feeling - Oh speaking of which". Sonic interrupts himself.
"Do you have any well... Ah well, it's too weird to say".
"Heh, Sonic anything you gotta say do tell. You know we are total bros'.
"Well since you put it that way. Ever had strange dreams or memories triggered by something like a song".
"Hmm. Myself, I don't really think so. Oh well haha. The same flowers used in perfume Zoey lavishes herself with brings her to my mind".
"Why do you ask?"
"Oh well, I've just been- Oh yeah, well other than radio I came here to see you about." Sonic lying to a degree not caring about the radio.
"Actually the popular song that playing".
"The dream one?" Tails quickly responded.
"Yeah. It's been giving me some hazy memories but also makes my heart be fast as if I was being nervous with someone".
"It's weird I know".
"Hmm. Actually sounds fascinating. Although I do not know about such".
Tails started thinking about the present and the past in a deep dreamy sense.
"Oh yeah!"
"Didn't you once say Amy was into like, oh what were they, tarot cards. Something magical".
"That was so long ago, you're right Tails, I wonder if she's still into such still?"
"Wasn't that the way Amy first decided to get to know me?". Sonic reminisced in his head".
"Yo Sonic you still there?" Tails waved to Sonic. "You seemed lost in thought. Why not meet up with the gang at Meh Burger?"
