An Ordinary Day... Right?

Everyday is the same routine, as if I'm a song stuck on repeat. It gets tiring to be honest. So tiring that you just crave for something- Anything! To just... happen. Just something to put a little adrenaline rush to your veins, make you feel alive instead of a robot. Is that too much too ask?

Wake up.
Eat.
Work.
Sleep.

I don't like that... Maybe that's why I just keep playing games? You're submerged into it, as if you're the character. Taking there place and feeling what they feel, a sense of another world where consequences don't hit you as hard as they do in life.

Yet, it's not enough... Once we finish that game, we feel empty somehow. That is, until you find another game.

I stand in my kitchen along with my family. It's a Saturday morning, you hear the birds chirping, the whistling of the kettle desperately trying to get my mom's attention from her phone.

"So, April... Are you ready for School? Hm?" I groan, that's the last thing I want to hear. Mark notices my shift of moods and proceeds to laugh. Hardy harr harr! Geez, he should know better than me that school is so fucking stressful. I mean c'mon! You're expected to keep your grades high while the weight of your future is crushing your very soul. All these questions you ask yourself in a daily basis. What college do I attend to? Do I want to go to college? How much is it? What do I want to be? Should I just drop out? And even more questions...

I stare at him, I know my face looks like I came from hell and back. I haven't been sleeping well, you know how distracting it can be with your phone? Don't even get me started with the ideas that pop in my head at three in the morning. Hey, they're good ideas, better do them then and there or else they get forgotten. My train of thought gets interrupted by my little brother. The cold can of ninety-nine cents worth of tea is shoved at me, taking the hint I open it for him. He walks away saying his thank you, returning to playing Minecraft I guess.

Going back to my cereal. Oh, gross! It's all soggy, not eating that anymore. I turn to the TV.

"In other news, Mars seems to be getting closer to Earth apperantly. Nothing too serious, but NASA is running tests to ensure it stays within it's orbit."

Boring... So boring. Even my soggy cereal is better entertaining than the news.
