Chapter 32: Drug

'We promised not to keep any secrets from each other Shane..' Huminto siya sa paglalakad..

'I'll tell you when I'm ready okay? But not now.. Hindi pa ako handa' kumunot ang noo ko sa sagot niya ganun ba talaga ka lalim yung tinatanong ko? Ano naman kayang problema ng babaeng to. 'Sige na. Mauna na ako sa inyo okay?' Nagpaalam na siya kay Zach at sa kapatid niya kaya hinatid ko nalang siya ng tingin.

'I'll go ahead Alli. Zach' i smiled at Jerric and Zach nodded at him. He pulled me closer to him as we walked back to his car.

'Still bothered?' He asked when he noticed my silence.

'Yes'

'She'll tell you everything Alli, don't worry' Ngumiti lang ako sa sagot ni Zach. 'Can I kiss you?' Biglang tanong niya, pinamulahan tuloy ako. Kahit naman kasi kami na ay sobra paring bumibilis ang tibok ng puso ko sa tuwing nagkakausap kami ng ganito. Iba parin naman talaga ang epekto ng isang Zachary sa sistema ko. He's like a drug that I can't live without. I can feel the taste of wine in his mouth as it explores mine, the touch of his hand in my chin still gives me shiver. It's a long kiss but I don't mind . I can kiss him all day kung pwede lang. 'I love you so much Alli..' Napapikit ako sa sobrang kaba at sa sobrang sayang nadarama ko, I can't seem to contain the happiness in my heart because it's overwhelming.

Parang ayoko na tuloy tumuloy sa usapan namin ni Dustin. I just wanted to be with Zach. 'I'll meet someone but I'll fetch you after Babe.' He muttered when we arrived in the restaurant. I kissed him goodbye as I stepped out if his audi but he opened the window before I could even cross the street 'I love you Alli.'

'I love you too Zach' nakangiti akong naglakad papunta sa restaurant, he's already there kaya lumapit na ako at hindi na naghintay sa waiter para igiya ako sa table. (Me: We'll start the meeting Zach.) I sent it before I went to his table.
'Hi Dustin..'

'You're here' he stood up and pulled a chair for me.

'Thank you' My phone vibrated and I checked it before we finally start the conversation. (Zach: I miss you already. Call me to fetch you babe)  Hindi na ako nagreply para makastart na kami. 'So shall we start?' Naglabas na siya ng mga papers and some plans.

Tumagal ng halos isang oras ang meeting namin dahil panay ang check ko sa wristwatch ko but in a way to not offend him. 'So sa Makati ang plano niyong location?' I asked after reviewing the plan.

'Yes, may restaurant kasi na isasara sa Makati and your mom is planning to buy it.' Tumango naman ako sa sagot niya.

Marami pang details regarding sa restaurant ang pinag-usapan namin ni Dustin hanggang sa mapansin kong tumatawag na si Zach, I tried to answer his call but Dustin has something to say.
'So what do you think?'

'Ha? Uhhmm' Nagvibrate ulit ang phone ko but I don't want to be rude to Dustin so I had to cancel his call.
'Well I guess your ideas are great.' Sinilip ko ulit ang phone and I had a glimpse at Zach's text.

(Zach: I'm on my way to fetch you)  Magrereply na sana ako ng hinawakan ni Dustin ang braso ko.

'So like what I've said we will serve a variety of menu..' tumango tango lang ako sa sinabi niya. 'This weekend Alli.. icheck natin ang location'

'Ahh..' this weekend nga pala ang Meeting namin kasama ang buong team para sa preparation ng kasal. 'Can we do it on monday?'

'As much as I want to resched it pero kasi this weekend lang available ang owner ng restaurant'

'I'll just tell mom nalang'

'She won't make it Alli.. masama pa daw ang pakiramdam niya' I bit my lower lip and tried to think of a way out, ayoko naman kasing icompromise din ang appointment namin. 'Lets do it on the afternoon'

'Sige, I'll just keep you posted.. a-are we done?'

'Nagmamadali kaba Alli? We still have some things to discuss like financial stuff and some sort'

'Uhh.. o-okay.'

Tinitigan niya ako bago siya ngumiti. 'Is he going to fetch you?' I nodded 'sabihin mo nalang na ako ng maghahatid sayo if matagalan tayo'

'Naku okay lang wag na..' agad akong umiwas sa titig niya. 'Mag-ccr lang ako'

'Samahan na kita'

'No, it's okay' agad akong tumayo at naglakad patungo sa cr.

I texted Zach na medyo matatagalan pa kami and he's okay with that, hihintayin niya na lang daw ako sa kotse niya. Inabot pa kami ng 9pm ni Dustin kaya medyo iritado na rin si Zach at gusto na kaming puntahan pero pinipigilan ko lang siya.

'Are you tired na Alli?' Hindi pa naman talaga ako pagod pero inaalala ko si Zach.

'Medyo eh'

'Alright.. let's go! Ihahatid na kita' natigilan ako sa sinabi niya kaya chineck ko saglit ang phone ko. 'Ohh Zach's gonna pick you up?' He asked in a disappointed tone of voice.

'Yes..'

'I see.. then I'll go ahead' Tumango lang ako at nang wala na siya sa paningin ko ay tinanaw ko si Zach na nakasandal sa labas ng audi niya. I waved at him when he saw me. Patawid na ako para puntahan siya ng mapalingon ako sa paparating na sasakyan dahil sa nakakasilaw nitong headlight.

'Alliiiiiiiiii!!' I heard Zach's voice but I was blinded by the light and the last thing I felt is the impact of the car in my body. Napapikit ako ng maramdaman ang pagbagsak ko sa matigas na kalsada. My senses are telling me that someone carried me while my eyes are closed. Nanlalamig ang pakiramdam ko dahil sa sakit na nararamdaman ko ngayon. 'Fuckkkk! Alli.. babe.. stay with me babe..' Si Zach. Ramdam ko ang mabilis na takbo ng sasakyan at ang pagpisil niya sa kamay ko. 'Alliyah!! Stay with me pleaseeeee' I tried to open my eyes to see him but I can feel the excruciating pain in my chest and it's making me so weak, nanghihina ang tibok ng puso ko. The pain makes me want not to breath anymore. 'Alli baby.. we're in the hospital...' but before I could even open my eyes, I just felt so tired and my senses just went out..
