“You should be sleeping sweetheart. You need your rest.”
“I know but its hard to sleep when your not holding me.”
“I know. It's just for the night baby and we will be together later today. How about I talk to you and you can try to go back to sleep that way.” It might work but I had a better idea.
“Sing to me.”
“Sing you to sleep?” He asked a bit shocked.
“Yeah sing to me.”
“Alright what song should I sing to you?”
“Dear God you know that is my favorite song. Plus it's comforting to me hearing you sing it to me.”
“Alright here we go...” He cleared his throat and started.
