Crystal, serene snowflakes float through the sky.
The faint smell of beer and cigars echoes the noises of fist fighting
She leans against the rundown brick building.
Her dirty blond locks turn a frosty, pale shade of clear white.
The small pink jacket does little to protect her.
Cold elbows its way into her, snuggling into the tiny nooks and crannies.
Cold settles over her.
Shaking, the girl melts to the ground.
Pulling her knees to her chest, her sharp blue eyes watch the snow.
Falling.
Drifting.
Settling.
Only the crunch of boots on the ground awakes her from the frozen state she's in.
He approaches slowly, the tips of his ears turning red in the frigid weather.
She turns away.
His expression falls.
"Here." he whispers softly, the word barely traveling through the air.
A cup is placed next to her bare, blue fingertips.
Cautiously, her white hair moves from her cocoon.
The boy shuffles his boots around. "It's hot chocolate. With mallows."
Her fingers creep towards the simple container.
He sits next to her and takes off his heavy jacket.
"Here." he repeats.
His thin arms envelope her in a hug as he slides the coat onto her arms.
Her neck is covered in red, angry bruises.
She takes a sip of the drink.
A hint of grin, a memory from long ago dances on her lips.
He allows her to lean against him.
The two warm each other.
Their bodies.
And hearts.
This is a short thingy I wrote randomly....opinions? I usually don't write stuff like this, so I'm curious what others think.
