Mermaid Tail

Chapter 1

"Hi I'm Sam Miller, I live on Mako Island just off the coast of California. I have blonde hair and green eyes. I'm also captain of the swim team. Summer break is finally here it's time to party, but I was past my curfew last night, because I was at the movies with my friends. So now I'm grounded and my parents said, 'no swimming.' Well there is a party at the beach, but you know what people say, rules are meant to be broken. I'm finally at the beach and it looks amazing at night right now, some people decided to put these little white lights that look like the ones you see at Christmas time in the trees.

Some friends and I went swimming, we all went as deep as we could, I ended going the deepest. When I came back up to get some air I couldn't see anyone it was too dark out. Then it hit me, the biggest wave I have ever seen. It pushed me back down hard and dragged me down. It all happened so fast, I ended up hitting my head on a rock so hard that I blacked out.

I'm not for sure how long I was out for, but I drifted into a place that I have never been to before. I hope I'm not to far off the coast, just before I left the water started to bubble up and I saw little balls of light go up and into the night sky then I notice that the full moon was out right at the very peak of this dormant volcano/moon pool type thing. After the moon passed by, the bubbling water and the little balls of lights stopped.

I notice that there was a underwater entrance and I thought that it must be the way I had came in. I left the moon pool and when I came back up I saw a boat with my friends on it. I know that they saw me to, but they just laughed rolled their eyes and kept going. So I had to swim 8 miles just to get to the beach then walked 10 miles soaking wet to my house. My parents were up waiting for me to get home and I'm now grounded for 3 more days.
